I can have 3 wolf guard terminators with TH or Chainfist/SS in 200 points...wow, can I enter? =P

Good luck getting into CC with the ven dread... Ven dread should win that match up 9 times out of ten.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

The only reason I won't go dread is the missions - If I need to allocate 'specialists' for certain tasks...it might have to be the purifier squad.

One concern I just thought of... If each model counts as an 'individual' then the dread will only be capable of killing one model per turn..... This is a waste of his assault cannon - I'd be better off with the squad in this case...as I'll get more shots that I can spread over a variety of targets.

Can some on answer this? Is each model an individual unit?

Where are the rules for Kill Team games? I haven't read them in a while and cannot recall where to find them. Seems to me that I recall each model fighting as an individual unit, much like Necromunda used to do.

Each model counts as a 'unit of one', with all that entails.

It also means that the Razorback can only have one model mounted at a time.

The VenDred can pretty much guarantee a kill every turn. Even against single models, that's a good deal.

My comment was more about the abundance of things that can kill a dreadnought. (hence the =P). I will admit I forgot about the re-roll rule for a second, but there are plenty of things that can kill it. A purifier squad with its two psycannons will tear a vendread apart. At AV 12 they don't even need the extra help from the rending. Statistically, two psycannons shooting four shots should rend almost every time they shoot. SW scouts can take meltabombs, two plasma pistols, and a meltagun, and show up anywhere on the board they want more often than not. As Aldarionn said...two thunderwolves would also be very deadly. You could potentially even see a thunderlord at 200. And that's just from the codices I play.

I picked up the players pack.

Missions are

1+5 - Standard Mission

2 - Objective in centre of battle field

3 - Defend your base, whilst taking enemies (two objectives at either end)

4 - Assassinate

So.... I'm leaning more towards the purifier team

I'll ask the umpires about only being able to carry individuals in the transport...

Right so after a few Q's.

Each model is an individual unit.

I can take the dedicated transport - but it will only be able to transport one model at any one time.

I can choose three models prior to the tourn and give them on special ability each. These are taken from the universal special rules, and I can choose them (providing that I convert/have fluff to base it on).

So I am going to drop the dread idea - I'd not get the advantage of the special rules. What special rules should I take? I am thinking maybe scout/infiltrate, hit and run or feel no pain.

Thoughts?
