Cool conversions. The riders are cool and the map is just awesome.

However I do feel like the mud effects on the Baneblade are a bit excessive. Just my opinion though.

I don't think the mud is excessive,in my minds eye this regiment has been stuck for weeks in the sharp end of the jungle.Thats why i used a similar effect on the rough rider bases with just a spattering of long grass.
thanks for commenting though

Yup. Mud is put on perfectly in just about every respect. The angles you chose to apply it on the tank match how mud would actually cover a tank that had gone nose first into a muddy ditch, and then climbed out. Roughly matching the slope of the treads in the back, with a more pronounced splashing of mud over the front. Its wet and chunky, just like the rider bases.

As a general rule, I flat out ignore anyone offering a negative opinion on any creative wok without also offering a reason as to why. I'd suggest you do the same shingouki, as your work shows real talent.
The St. Augustine grass is about the right scale for nightmare jungles for the Catachans too. Nice touch.

Also going to reach out to Kingcracker in this comment, since I feel I've done a good job of representing myself as a decent human being here. Its nice when we can crawl out of our grubby little holes in the mud, hose off, and pretend to be civil - even if just for a little bit.

You're SURE it not my gallery of sexually themed Tyranids that makes me a non-credible source?
Your name implies that you are too random to be taken seriously ,anyway. Or 2 random. Whichever.
Combined you have trouble determining color/ warm values added by Earth's yellow sun as well as offering reasons WHY you dislike something (my avatar, for example) leaves me with "Good day, sir."
I said good day!

The sun produces white light, FYI.

Anyways, I don't dislike your avatar, it's just not very serious.

Ok so check my light math here but I'm pretty sure white light breaks down into the three primary colors blue yellow and red (yes yes cyan etc). Grass is green. So it absorbs blue and yellow spectrums.
So white minus blue minus green leaves what tint spectrum to be absorbed by the mud, in addition to extra white light?

Nope. The sun shines white light. That is to say, all the colors of the spectrum. Grass is green because it absorbs all the other colors and reflects the resulting green to our eyes. Just like the way the sky looks blue. It's the blue color of the spectrum that is reflected by particles in the sky to our eyes.

The models look good but personally the rough riders (or saurus cavalry and cold one knights for that matter) aren't very realistic if you think about it (though admitidly there isn't alot that's realistic in 40k). Raptors or raptor like creatures (like Cold Ones) woulden't be physically suited as a jungle mount, raptors where known for their speed it's why they evolved the way they did. And no animal that is adapted mainly for speed (we're talking like horses, ostriches, cheetahs antelope, raptors etc.) lives in dense jungles as it inhibits their natural abilites of running at great speeds over open distances.

There is too much undergrowth for raptors or raptor like creatures to be able to run effectivly. Plus they woulden't be suited as mounts do to their physical nature, the extra weight would cause their bodies to lean forward if their back legs where even strong enough to carry themselves and the riders (they had powerfull legs but I don't know if they where THAT powerfull). It would be harder for a 2 legged mount (dependant on the mount) to carry the weight of a rider then a 4 legged mount and keep speed and balance in a jungle environment.

Anyway realism aside the models look good, I like the mudd effects on the BB.

No, he clearly has a map. Usually the guy with the map is a badass, if for no other reason than he knows where he's going.

This is incorrect. He does not know where he is going. If he knew where he was going, he would not be reading a map. He would either not need a map, or would have already consulted his map, found out where he was going, and put his map away.

He is badass because he is riding a freaking dinosaur and is so nonchalant about it that he is consulting a map while doing so. This falls under the badass subcategory with talking on a cellphone while fighting someone and drinking a cup of coffee during a firefight. It is significantly elevated in badassery by including a freaking dinosaur.

Scenario, scatter lasers open fire the very next stillshot in time, incinerating most of the riders and the map. Chaos ensues as the unit breaks, fleeing into the jungle.
No one knows where anything is, where the enemy is, which direction is up, or whether or not they will live or die.

Except for the guy with the map. He knows where he's going. He gets to TELL people about how bad ass he was, after his beeline back to camp.
Because he had the map.

The dinosaur is merely a cool accessory, like a tank.
The map though? That guy is an official pimp.
