He'll have the results up sometime soon on the sight. I had a good time and the Heroic28 guys are nice dudes. The format was a little different and I'll do a full review later but important notes:
Black Templars won overall w/a record of 4-2-1 (both losses on the first day)
Dash won Best General going 6-1 with a loss on day one and was only a few points behind the overall winner.
I went 6-0-1 winning the first 6 and tying the last game against the Templar player.
The dude from Zen 40k won players choice with his Lamenters (GORGEOUS!)
And a beautiful skittles chaos army won Best Painted.
I'll have a full review of the tourney up on my blog sometimes this week that I'll link here.
Best Painted (2015 Adepticon 40k Champs)
They Shall Know Fear - Adepticon 40k TT Champion (2012 & 2013) & 40k TT Best Sport (2014), 40k TT Best Tactician (2015 & 2016)
Battlepoints are supposed to be worth 70%, so their formula was to multiply your battlepoints by 3.45.
That leaves me with 220.8 battlepoints, Brad with 213.9, and the other guy with 213.9.
I've got a total of 364 points, Brad has 359, and the other guy has 361.
The other guy picked up six additional "bonus" points from people voting for him as their favorite opponent. That put him at 366 to my 364, and he took Best Overall.
The format was a bit unusual. Your day one performance was a "seeding" tournament - and while it bracketed you for day two, it didn't have anything to do with your overall results in the GT. I went 3-1 the first day, Brad went 4-0, and the guy who won Best Overall went 2-2. Whether you were bracketed in the top bracket or not on the second day was determined by strength of schedule - so despite losing my fourth game, my only loss was to a 4-0, so I still made it into the top bracket, and went 3-0 on Day two. The gentleman who beat me on the first day to go 4-0 didn't come to the second day.
I usually give my stuff to the last place player, but it would have been complicated to do so since they're mailing prize support, and the last place player got an entire painted army. I figured I'd collect it and give it away as prizes for contests that Hulksmash and I hold.
Hey folks
Just wanted to drop a line here as we are recovering from the 3.5 day roller coaster ride of the Railhead. We should have the full results up in the next few days. Cowboy Kenny needs to spend time with his wife....or so he says.
As brief synopsis of what armies were there. We had everything, but Deamons. Thats right folks we even had a Sisters of Battle army. Black Templars won the day. Narrowly edging out Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar for the Overall Win.
Upper Braket:
Best Overall- Black Templars
Best General- Dark Eldar
Lower Braket
Best Overall- 'Nids
Best General- Eldar
I hope everyone had a good time. We learned a lot from this event. Our hope at the Heroic 28s is to produce a quality event that folks will want to continue attending.
Here is to seeing y'all next year.

The missions prevented me from bringing my Necrons - several of them were literally auto-lose scenarios. For example, a mission with objectives and table quarters being win conditions - but where units holding an objective don't count towards units in the table quarter and vice versus.
Well, Necron troops suck. I only have two. And they won't count towards table quarters. Or if they do, they won't be able to hold an objective. Not very attractive missions for them - and since the missions were more appropriate to MSU armies, I brought the Dark Eldar instead.
@Dash Did you/are you post(ing) battle reports for this? I looked but didnt see anything saying whether you have or are going to.

A templar won overall? What was his list like, if you happen to recall?

Oh...you get the joke already.
Hulksmash will get batreps up this week.
That's a horribly illegal list. You can only take a number of anti-hulksmashing neophytes equal to the number of hulk-smashing initiates per squad.
