I'd keep the wings but clip off all the claws on them, as they are what is causing the off-scale look of the wings. Each one is the size of her head and they look like hanging lanterns.

So im gonna see about making a whip out of coper wire or something. should i just have it plain or try make three tails or what?

Hey mate I was doing a conversion similar to yours using Saint Celestine, converting her into a Daemon Princess of Nurgle. The reason I chose Nurgle is because Slaanesh is to obvious, I already have a Tzeentch prince, Khorne princes feel bad and I wanted a Nurgle prince/princess. I dont have the model yet so no pics sorry guys, but I have sketched out how I'm going to convert her. I'm going to green stuff the Flur de lis into symbols of Nurgle, swap her sword out for a scythe, cut the halo and convert it into the chaos star, and convert the cherubs into flying daemons of Nurgle, I don't see the point in giving her wings with her cape on she already looks like shes flying. the rest is in the painting, silver corroded armour, white hair, pale skin, black cape, thats pretty much the gist of my conversion. Nothing says chaos more than corrupting the uncorruptable. Hope your conversion goes well, and I reckon 3 tails.

How about these wings. i have no idea of the size but they have to be a little smaller than the blood thirsters wings.

I am trying to get a base printed out, made it in inventor. We will see if i can get it printed and it looks good.

As for chains I believe the plastic ones are a bit hard to work with. Personally I would use brass chain, you just wrap it around the miniature then brush on a bit of super glue to make it stiff. Although you need to use the GW bottle for the brush, unless you work out a way of doing it another way.

They are massive, together about a foot long. More bloodthirster size if you ask me.

Love the wings, and the idea of the freaking huge sword would look perfect with the rest of the model. And if you cant find a sword you want/can justify buying consider greenstuffing one or adding greenstuff to an existing sword. Just a thought.

What, like the DOW game? Soulstorm? I swear her sword was larger than the miniatures.

Her sword is tiny on the miniture. so i may try to trade or buy a bigger sword maybe green stuff on it as well. an as for the wings im defenetly gonna keep trying to get them on with the help of Seattle battle bunkers help but im realy lazy with APB Reloaded.
Fyi the bas is hollow and i hope it will be strong enough to hold her i plan to fill it with lead shot or sand to make her more bottem heavy instead of wing heavy lol.
If you have more suggestions i would love to know them.

Wings should be very big, the bloodthirster ones look about right. Check out real wings on animals(eagle)



Each wing is 2 to 3 times the body length.

Definitely gotta go with big wings on this one.

How should i connect them...im trying to pin it but the blood thirsters wings are angled wierd so its hard to pin it. any suggestions? pics please im a very visiual person

Well that's the big question, ain't it? I'm trying to figure out the same thing on my own celestine conversion, if I end up going with big wings as well:



I know it'll have to incorporate some heavy pinning and GS work to make it look right. My other thought was to add a long veil thingy behind her head to cover up a lot of that. I think either way would be very applicable to your situation as well. I'll certainly let you know if I figure anything out myself, and I'll keep watching here in case you do.

Or, y'know, maybe it would just be easier to use different wings.

You certainly inspired the use of the giant wings on a small model, haha. I've had the wings for a little over a year now though.

The body is metal, but I got the Celestine mini used and then stripped it of paint, so there's some discoloration from that process. Remnants of old primer, really. Everything on that thing so far is metal. It's a pain to work with, but'll hopefully be worth it in the end.

Ah ok it just look like plastic. But any how ill keep you updated on what i find. good lucik for now

Hey guys sorry i havent posted in a....while but anyways late is better then never right? ill be posting pic of her after i get home and asap. but i have pinned and glued the massive wings to her i shaved off some of the wieght by takeing of the joints and the two claws of the bottom of the wings. she looks really good and i forgot to try to make a greenstuff sword. anyone have a guid or youtube video? Thanks

Hey you guys i finally got her wings on they seem stable and i did it by pinning her wings together with 2 pins then pinning them to her with another two pins. How does she look C&C welcome

Making blades out of GS is very, very difficult. You'll be a lot better off carving the shape out of plasticard, then filing the edges into it . You could certainly do a hilt and crossguard out of GS, or just use an existing weapon with the blade clipped off.

Yeah...so i tried to make a tri whip....im gonna stick with the weapons on her for now. but she is on a base and it is balanced. can you believe that? crazy. and i love her i just wish i could prime her and start painting

Hah, thanks man, glad you found it and glad you like it. I still want to do a few touch-ups on it to finish it up, but it took a lot of effort to get where it is.

Zefig yeah shee looks great i would have tried that type of wing pattern on her if i had that type of wing. but mines little more corrupt.

Any way im thinking of blood red armor and purple trim. Wings will be purple with either red bone or white bone for the accent of the wings...if that makes sence

After painting almost all evening with very little distractions ( ) im done. Exept her wings need a little badab black on the white bone i think. Would that make it look more real? C&C please
