The Second one has more Dakka which is always good, you could mount the camera to the top of the plasma for the second pic and set it back towards the back edge that would give you the best of both worlds.

The side intakes look pretty cool however not sold on the pointy front, what about keeping the downward angle of the card but cutting it flat (vertical with no lean) about 5 mm from the pointy end. This would give you an oblong intake at the front (longer edge on top)

The camera? the sight? :L sorry a little tired. i think i will the front cut :/ ..mabeyy:L so indecisiveness:L

Ah yes, sorry, the camera have that on the plasma and the bolters on the side, flatten the front for a oblong intake

for giggles try mspaint to see if you like it

I like the bolters either side of the plasma, I think that just looks cool generally.

A counter slopped front(like a lr shape) looked a little better, but in the end i like the point! it looks more regal, some how:L

well i got kinda tired of it just sitting there in different pieces, so i sprayed the gun section, and will shortly paint it.

I like the storm bolters with the plasma gun, good choice. It looks like you are pretty much set on the pointy nose, but since I already drew this I will at least try to explain my incoherent ramblings from earlier. The top drawing is kinda the same shape as a rhino or landraider and tie it into that pattern. The middle and bottom drawing is a flare on the front that would be a sharper angle downward than the current nose, and curve around the sides and flare out a little. Hopefully this explains my thoughts, and keep up the good work!

ahhhh yess. Yeah the top pic is what i will do if i change my mind on the point. thanks. and the bottom ones look simple but effective, thanks. i may try that on my next one.

Top pic's how I saw it too, but wouldnt require much modding to current version, just tacked on beneath.

OK, major update, i finished the bike, and sprayed it.
i changed the vents because it looks more slick, and i lost the other side:L.
Only issues i have with it now are the extremely flat bottom.

ok so i haven't posted for ages, lost of stuff going on at the mo, also i've been concentrating on other projects, but i have done a little bit. I've decided on a blue flur-de-la as my chapter symbol, started painting that on my guys. Not sure how to do tactical, assault etc markings though. was thinking blue stripes and checks???
i've also started on the rider, however the helmet doesn't fit:( not sure if i should change it(still got some DA helmet wings i could use), or make it as if its looking falwads? also should i give him the ravening sword or a lance like the other guy?and starting to add a bit of decoration to the bike as it looks to plain.

I used mk4 heads, just for variety. Maybe mix it up a bit, use mk6s maybe?

I like your front jet-like modelling of the hoverbike. In referance to those idea photos by xanthos you found, it makes yours unique in design. Have you considered the paint scheme your going to use for it?

why not try and file the lower bit down a bit or alternatively add a little ball of green stuff under it to raise the nose above the collar.

I did both techniques on this squad and they came out ok;

Both excellent ideas, why the feth didnt i think of them:L. will try the greenstuff, if it fails will use another helmet

As for lance - and indeed helm - why not pick up a box of Bretonnian or empire knights?

Again a big gap, and again not much progress. I've started on my 3 predators (the black one was bought from a friend years ago and ive just tried to 'save' it as best i can). the second one is using the lasercannon parts of my new kit, and the 3rd i will make the 1st ever plasma predator!
I don't have any more sponsoon bits so i think i'm going to make proper box mounted sponsoons.
