Edited it to drop all plasma and power weapons and reduced size of squad 1 and 2 by 3, in return I added another squad of 10 marines and another sang priest. I will be able to run 2 7-man squads with 2x melta and a sang priest and 1 10 man squad with sang priest and my librarian. All of my units are jump infantry, so transports won't be necessary. Is that any better?

EIther DoA or drop pods for tactical/assault units with melta/infernus - they go after ravagers and trueborn, while dreadnoughts go after raiders with incubi and assault units. Give it a shot.


DOA and drop pod stategies always seem to fail against me. Razor/pred spam and dread spam is much harder to deal with.

Actually I think I've tabled every single DOA list I've ever played against with my DE.

sounds better, you can also drop the melta bombs I think.

The only reliable way to kill incubi in combat and live after is Dante or the Sanginor. They are both loads of attacks and higher init. Kill the incubi, weather the Archon's counters, and hope he isn't fearless and fails that moral check. Other then that just shoot the crap outs the incubi with melta and plasma, no invul means melta/plasma makes them sad pandas.

If you can shoot, shoot down their raider.

If you can assault, do it with your Dreadnought.

There isn't much more to it than that. Deployment plays a huge factor, but that is something that can get really technical, and you can only do it on a game by game basis.

One word, Vindicator.

Take the easy kill on the Armour 10 open topped Raider with anything in your list. (I personally fear heavy bolters)

With strength 10 AP1 Ordinance weapon on a fast vehical, provided you dont scatter too much, you will kill all the Incubi and have a 1/6th chance to kill the Archon.

24" range means it can be shot before the raiders even get there. If not its easily surpressed by one glancing hit(unless you immobilize it).
Finally wounds from an ordinance weapon are allocatable, so unless hit all 10 models with one blast the archon can avoid taking saves.

As said before shoot down the raider with the Incubi and Archon inside it. however, do not
forget about the wyches.

Load up on skimmer killing weapons. Bolters can glance, heavy bolters can penatrate.
Out range him, and try to outshoot him.

If he does get to your lines, a dread should fix his Archons wagon.
