I spent the weekend before last at Auscon. Came home with:

- a Batman Heroclix box (Bats, the Joker and Commissioner Gordon)
- 5 assorted Guild of Harmony minis that I've been eyeing off for a while now,
- Dorothy (the miniature for the con)
- an Imbrian Arts Gnoll
- an Avatars of War Dwarf Lord
- a Wargods Ice Witch
- Covel and Arias Vayu from Anima Tactics
- a pair of Ripjaw Bonejacks and
- a Khador Battlegroup.

And a card game called 'Falling' ... about Goblins falling from the sky. Sounded fun.

And two sets of dice that I bought in between games 1 and 2 of the 40K tournament, on deciding that I didn't have enough different colours in the dice box to keep all those mass rolls simple with my Orks.

I randomly bought 3 eldar fliers that were on sale on ebay

Went in to my GW to buy two Dreadnoughts to start my MotF army and eventually the Siege army in IA 2. He only had one dread in stock. Left with that dread, a squad of shooty termies and a libby. I suspect hypnosis, as my memory of my time in the store is foggy...

A box of Empire Pistoliers from Amazon which I intend to convert into Rough Riders for my Imperial Guard. But now I'm after another box of Cadians so I can build some custom Stormtroopers and a custom Command Squad before I go on holiday... I'm going to have to start a hobby fund or something.

Currently I'm debating the ork Stompa at 20% off at local model shop, even though I'll never use it in a game as I don't play Apoc

I went a bit all out.....went in to the local gaming store with the skaven battalion and book in mind, ended up coming out of there with:-

I was buying some discounted HH novels at AUSCON and my better half managed to slip a new box of Dark Eldar Kabalite Warriors in between them on the counter as I was paying...

Just bought a Space Wolves venerable dread from FW with a multimelta and a ccw arm.

Have been toying with the idea of adding a podded dread in my tourney lists and decided a $80 dreadnought was how I would do it.

I play orks. I have a SM army that is around for my broke buddies to use, I never play it. But in the last month I have bought a command squad and a Vindicator for them, even though I never play them.

Last week. One of the local players was selling stuff since he's moving. He offered me 2 "chimeras" for $25 (for both). I said sure (even though I don't have a Guard Army...although I'll probably put one together after SoBs lose allies).
Gave him the cash and he gave me a Chimera and an old-style HellHound new-in-box still shrinkwrapped. The boxes were a little crushed so he offered to drop the price to $20. I told him that was quite alright, keep the $25.
Now to find some Leman Russ'

You had no Choice. Playing guard or not, if you can turn down a deal like that you have more willpower than I.

Star Wars Minatures AT-AT for £20 off ebay, as it was out of its box and had a slightly twisted gun on the front. As i only wanted it for the game, was a huge bonus.

I impulse buy tons of stuff if it's cheap enough, knowing that I'll most likely resell to make a profit so I can afford to buy the things I really like.

However, the most recent unplanned, purchase that I fully intend to keep, and isn't related to any current army was 40 Spacelords Sardaykin figures. I've always liked them and I have one from when I was a kid, so when the opportunity arose, I jumped at it.

Beautiful early 90's Space marine type figures. Like this, except for these have had the eagle emblems (located at the bottom of the shoulder) shaved off.

Traded the space marines for more Orks that day, spent the next year painting them, spent the next year and a half discovering the hard way that Ork Boyz are completely worthless. 6+ armor save, feth you! That was the last time I let the plastic crack get the better of me.

Dust Tactics, when I saw it for 50% off I had to buy it, new store 6 month sell YEAH. Love the game, now I just need some 3-D terran and to paint the model of course.

I use to have a card game called that, but with human. One guy deal while the other try to hit the ground last, winner last guy to hit the ground. Was a lot of fun, but lost it in a move.

A CSM Predator. It's in the queue to paint; hope to begin in the next month.

Just got 2 cans of black primer today. Spent half the evening priming Skeletons, Zombies, Grave Guard, Obliterators, Beastmen, Minotaurs, some monsters and some chaos warriors.

Ork boyz are one of the best troop choices in the game. If they could get a decent anti-tank weapon they would quite possibly be the very best troop choice in the game.
