Basically what was the last wargamery thing you bought that wasn't part of your 'main' army? Or perhaps you have just invested your first $/£'s into a new system.

I have been fairly focused in my hobbying buys and have kept to my (as of last month, and no it's not grey knights) two armies fairly strictly. I have basically started this thread to get a second hand fix of plastic crack

Personally my battle is with the tempatations of the empire, every visit to gw i have to resist the urge to buy a box of state troops, a box of handgunners, oh and maybe and a canon and some pistoliers.

bought me a second hand lot of mortheim imperial warband over ebay...and also a bunch of LotR charcters as well...
well the mortheimers will be strict conversion material, the other minis was to one far away day get my missus into the whole plastic crack thing^^

My last wargame 'impulse' purchase was Good: the Battle - a small scale skirmish game (available at http://www.projectgood.co.uk for a very good price!). It's a non-specific miniatures game, so you're not tied into one brand of minis (and it gives me an opportunity to showcase my own line of minis at local clubs!

I was in the Prince August factory at the weekend and bought a bag of eighty Warzone miniatures for €10. Then today in Dublin I found some more unassembled stuff from the same range second hand in my FLGS.

So now I'm trawling through free downloadable games trying to find a decent set of rules to play the models with.

Forgeworld Daemon Prince of Nurgle /w Herald + Bitz ordered some Zombie Dragon wings for him.

It's for one of my two armies, but it was with zero pre-thought and at 2:45am. I think that qualifies as an impulse buy!

A box of Stormboyz and some Gretchin off eBay. Even though Orks are my main army I had not planned to buy either of these just yet.

I did buy the Space Marine Codex as an impulse buy from someone at our club recently, then spent my Xmas vouchers on buying a Space Marine Battleforce which I'm painting but have no intention of playing anytime soon.

For impulse buys I'm worst when it comes to RPGs. I see a new shiney RPG book and can't resist. I try to justify every purchase with "I'll be able to use some of the material in my games." Unlikely.
