He was 'frigging huge' compared to many of the Aquilonians and other 'Southern' folk but Conan was always described by Howard as 'muscled like a panther' not 'muscled like some 'uge friggoin' guy'.
I can forgive a lack of roiding him up if they make sure the rest of it works. Just for the love of Crom... DON'T MAKE HIM A GOOD GUY! He often was a good guy, but that was usually an accident... The man was a bit of a psycho at times.
'Psycho' is subjective. He was, at heart, a 'Good Guy' but not in the way civilization now considers 'Good Guys'...if that makes sense.

I like the "Troy maneuver" at 1.08. I've seen that in so many movies now.
And having seen the trailer now I am hack home it ticks many boxes:
Monsters, babes, big armies, individual combat, blood, action, muscles.
