Actually he _was_ frigging huge. So people underestimated him and his unbelievable dexterity/intelligence. This could be good, or ohgodohdgodmakeitstop bad. Either way Robert E. Howard is probably sick of spinning in his grave... I'm looking at you kull...
I can forgive a lack of roiding him up if they make sure the rest of it works. Just for the love of Crom... DON'T MAKE HIM A GOOD GUY! He often was a good guy, but that was usually an accident... The man was a bit of a psycho at times.

Then it shall be placed on my "awesome DVD's that my wife does not let me watch in her company" shelf along side Flash Gordon, Conan The Barbarian and other such greats.
I can't see anything good in this trailer (or anything that would make me think of Conan...). It just looks as "the Scorpion King" with more CGI...(and whithout Kelly HuuuUUUUuuu).

Nothing shall compare to the box i had full of all the amazing old Conan comics! bizarre stories beautiful ink work and a hero who just did what he did! no movie could do that stuff justice! anyone else have any old conan comics? and on the thread note.....I'll probably dvd this one, but if i cave and go see it i'll let you all know! :-)

Well that trailer felt as if I'd seen (and heard) it all before; generic fantasy hack and slash on a bigger budget than most. I'll be waiting to see if it emerges on Sky, or some other tv channel.
That said I'm probly more likely to like it if its nothing like the original comics/books... (long story) ...so I guess my final decision can only come when I've actually seen it. Might be a while.

does someone really want to reinvent the conan story anew? create something totally new for real? i thought all peeps wanted to see a hulking guy with some pointy weapons sticking it into ugly fellas...i dont think the whole story has the potential to surprise anyone...but don´t get me wrong i still think conan is cool... i just don´t expect any surprises from this kind of movies...and thats just right as well!
Jason Momoa is actually taller and wider than Arnie, he is just athletic as opposed to roided up. This could be fun but looking at the history of the writers and the director doesn't give me much hope for this.
There is always the underrated Conan game that was on the 360 if you need some adventure in the Hyborian Age.
