Right off the Food Court..... Hella location for a comics and game store. Wish I had that kind of spot in Exton when I was running the Allied Hobbies store there.

Wow.... I don't know how I feel about this.... I grew up in that little store under the stairs, 20 something years ago.

Still should be awesome. I think there should be a grand opening as well.

Might i recommend a public bathroom in the store?

Congrats! I bet I'm one of the few posters who can say they helped you move into the very first store in Granite Run! I'm a very proud to be a member of the Showcase family. I learned a ton from you Mike and I can't wait to see the new location.

If you haven't been to a Showcase Comics location - I can't recommend it highly enough. Great selection, great staff. Top notch service. It's been that way for over two decades.

I concur. If you live within an hour of 476 and I-95 you owe it to yourself to make it over to Showcase in Media. Great store, and really one of the few "FLGS" deserving of the name.

AWESOME!!! But still slightly bittersweet :( I worked in that store from 2000 to 2003 and was a regular gamer there in the mid to late 90s too and will be sad to see it no longer home to Showcase. But the new place sounds awesome! Hopefully life calms down enough for me to get in there more regularly.

Good Luck Mikhaila!
All the best for the move.

(To celebrate it would be a really good idea for you to offer an all expenses paid trip from Blighty tothe new store for any Dakkanauts called Chibi.
That would be a splendid gesture imho and should be seriously considered.)

Outside of Philadelphia a bit. Far enough that it's not in the city, close enough that the Cheesesteaks are still awesome. Granite Run Mall is in Media, PA. We're a bit south and west of the city, on the old Route 1, and just off interstate 95. Coming from the south you get off 95 before Philly, coming from the North you stay on 95 past Philly then head up to us a few miles. From the West you enjoy the lovely Turnpike, get off at the Midcounty exchange and go south a few miles. Travel is fairly easy since it's highway all the way to us. Hotel across the street, two bars in and just outside of the mall.

I'm heading in today with a large tape measure, graph paper, and masking tape to mark the floor. Need to see just how many tables I can Jam into the new place.) We can always rent space in the mall for larger events, but I want to be able to always have room for 25 table/50 person torunaments. We host the 'Ardboyz regionals and East Coast Finals, 3 GT's on the circuit, and large FOW and Warmahordes events. Lots more once we get inside the new space.

Congratulations. I've really been meaning to take a weekend and drive up from DC to see your store. Now that it's becoming more awesome, I'll really have to make some plans and cruise up there for a visit once you're done setting up. Nothing is cooler than FLGS that is doing well for itself.

Dakkacon, July 8-10th. Good time to come up. Lots of gaming/hobby/drinking until late night, and you know if we've just moved into a bigger store that there's going to be a sale.
