And here we go again. Update on the FoW stuff i built last night:







I hope you can see it, but the camo cloaks on the snipers are a mauve brown made by mixing the baseing color with chaos black.

The FoW minis look much smaller than GW. Are they? Does this make them easier or harder to paint? I can see the camo cloaks and they look really good.

They are 15mm, whereas GW figs are around 32mm to the top of the head, so yes, quite smaller.

Nothing to difficult about painting them, just need a steady hand and a couple small brushes.

The section will be completed today. watch this space for more pictures.

ok all a slurry of shots to show you this fine thursday. First we have my paint test of the selik'jaha infantry with his veritas companions. Then we have him by himself, and finally more FoW have been built!







As it is a paint test model, comments and crit most welcome on the selik'jaha infantry.

Those riflemen, are they using some persian parts from WGF? I think I recognize some of those heads. Is it just a head swap or something more?

body and head are WGF persian, arms are from perry. They fit well.

Hey all. I wanted to take some time to ask a question.

Is anyone watching? Do you have comments?

ok, that is two questions, but my point remains.

It isn't that i'm vain and want praise, that's not it at all. The problem i see is that I know my painting isn't the best, and I started this log specifically to get comments on my work, yet for nigh on 4 pages i've only had a few (very appreciated) replies.

So, is anyone out there?

I go on and off on commenting blogs, mainly because more than 100 of them update everyday and its hard to keep track of them all! Even if I did favorite some of the notable ones, there would be at least 3-4 pages of them

No problems and I understand totally. It just seems a bit quiet in here most of the time.

Myself, I have only just seen this blog, like Kenshin said, there are so many different updates nowadays that is is nigh impossible to keep track of them all!

Anyway, nice work Marcus!It is good to see a mantic blog out there, they have some pretty cool minis, I am thinking of picking up some zombies sometime in the future!

FOW guys are coming along great, it will be nice to see them all painted up!

The dude holding the snake staff in the last pic, where is he from? I was looking for just such a weapon for my Thousand sons!

I was fortunate to be able to pick up the entire set. I have plans for all of them to fit into either my undead(and friends/soul-stolen slaves) army or my human crusader army.

FoW has been delayed, although not stalled, by my rabid basecoating to try out the dip method shown above. It is quite fun. Not to mention taking the hassle out of painting zombie (mummies - the in-game mummies are the royalty) hordes

The zombies are a wonderful kit, same with the ghouls to which they are mostly compatible (couple small gaps,easily fixed)

Small update...

I purchased approx (yet to be fully tabulated) $150 of space marine/imperial models at a local thrift store for $40. Notable things Included were an entire inquisitorial retinue, 2 OOP marine models, and the OOP RT era whirlwind

I've also made some small painting progress, the lack of which has been due to procrastination, school, and video games. normal or increased painting rates will resume shortly.
