Gamers pledge at 7/25, and my two sprues of GW skellies finally complete:

touch ups have been done, basing completed, and here is the whole unit, with some de-dusted front rankers who have awaited their comrades for far too long. These will be stored like the rest of the army and used when needed as I do not have a display case. I plan to add more, but need ten more skellies before I buy as my bulk provider only sells in 20's. If anyone has 10 on sprue or in bitz please pm me.

Just looked through whole blog. It sickens me how so many people can be devoted to so many projects, yet I have yet to fully paint a single warhammer model after collecting for nearly a month.
I need to get something to make me more inspired.

The metals Ive seen here look fantastic as well as faces and most things. My problem with your miniatures is the bases. Imho they are boring, and you would be suprised how a miniature, no matter its painters skill, raises in quality after its been based. What I do is I paint the whole base brown. Put some sand on it, then little tufts of grass. Makes a nice desert-y feel.

Thank you for the comment. I would be happy to help in any way I can with your projects. If you do not know, I write sci fi and fantasy both as a hobby and a possible future career. I could write a short piece for you to spur your painting enthusiasm if you like. otherwise if you make a blog I will subscribe and comment!

As far as basing goes I'd love to spruce up the bare sand I have, but I don't have any desert colored grass (or static grass that would work with a desert scheme) and my local hobby shop is an hour away at best so a trip for only a tub of basing material is out of the question. I will work on it though and hope you stick around to see the results.
