Howdy WC,just nipped back onto this thread and again i'm blown away. You have great skills mate and one thing i really like is the attention paid to the bases.Imo something which can really make a model pop is a decent base, anyway thanks for posting mate and im going to go push my eye balls back into my head.

Here is the first of 5Khador Man-O-War Shock Troopers. They are being painted to a high end gaming standard. I am painting this guy a few steps ahead of the other 4 just to kind of work things out. I just need to refine the metals a bit and sort out his base and then I think he will be done. I will get pics of the other ones up once they the same level as this guy then I will refine details and finish the basing off.

Thanks,

Tom

Titus is rediculously awesome! I was trying to figure out all of the bits that you used. That is, until I saw the WIP pics and realized that your sculpted all of the things I was wondering about. Excellent work!

Hi Wickedcarrot,

I am certain you are aware you have wicked skills in the realm of painting/sculpting.

Something I believe will push your work to the next level is to always check your finished work for paint bleeds, mistakes and inconsistencies. That is the key difference (IMHO) between an artist that takes great pride in his projects vs. someone who just wants to get the work done to an acceptable level.

I am plenty confident that more patience and time spent on correcting inaccuracies (moving projects from good to great) will definitely result in more projects for you to work on going forward.

Hope you take the constructive criticism in the spirit it has been given.

I offer different standards of paint jobs, Gaming Standard characters have to be done to a certain level, my Premium models do get my utmost attention. I make it clear to my clients as to what they will get for what standard.

I do appreciate the critique

Another Ultramarine for the same client as Titus. This one he wants with no battle damage and to be very crisp. There is a bit more paint work and transfers to come

That is one smoking hot diorama! You got 6 arms or something mate? You are certainly a very productive assemble/converter/painter!

More shots please or are you holding out in anticipation of a big reveal?

Can't wait for the next update!

Beautiful stuff as usual wc! I love the diorama you have done, those beasts look fantastic (don't know what their names are?) the big blue bugger especially!, Nice work on the Ultramarines too, very nicely done, that Titus conversion is really something! just a great looking model and it gets accentuated by your painting, what could be better I'm also very impressed by the two versions of snkitch, the tail and pale skin is great, I like how you have used the brush strokes of colour to give it some definition without the need to completely blend everything in is well done!

can't wait to see more of your work! hopefully soon

First I saw your Ultrasmurfs and thought "Hey, that's pretty cool", then I saw your Nurgle boy and thought "Well damn, that's pretty freaking awesome" and then I kept scrolling and my jaw kept getting closer and closer to the floor.

The black orc is my favorite though. THAT DETAIL!!!

Great job!
