Actually, thraka will be decapitated before yarrick finds him, and have his head replaced by a squig. yarrick then finds him, and they behead eachother. yarrick's head gets replaced by thraka's squig, thraka's by yarrick's head. so now thraka, possessing yarrick's body, tries killin' everyone around him(he dies after strangling a titan); yarrick, possessing thraka's body, orders the orks to invade the nearest star: the sun that holy terra goes around; killing himself as penance( he had an ork body, remember.)

Apparently the Imperium is ill-equipped for a siege. Therefore I have proposed the development of siege guns, siege tanks, siege rockets, siege armor, siege planes, siege ships, siege wagons, siege bikes, siege boots, siege dogs, siege cats(for the siege rodents), siege eating utensils, siege horses, siege rations, and siege babies. Oh, and siege-spouses, especially of the female variant.

They have to die in a epic clash of epicness. A clear winner, and clear loser is required in this situation. At least in my opinion

That's what makes it ironic. Everybody expects an epic clash of epicness. Nobody expects a broken toe infection.

Well, an infection from a broken toe is more 1st or 2nd edition 40K... but Yarrick dying of old age before he can end it with Gazzy would be very fitting and not at all silly. The setup could parallel the closing decades of the Three Kingdoms Period in ancient China, where Shu Prime Minister and all-around Tactical Genius, Zhuge Liang, died of old age and left the job of continuing the war against the Wei (and later, Jin, forces) to his protege. Admittedly, the protege didn't fare nearly as well as his boss, but that was due more to political infighting than straight up battlefield failure...

I think (should GW ever decide to advance the plot) it would be awesome if they have Yarrick die of old age and appoint a successor (possibly one of the Black Templars he's been tooling around with) to continue the hunt for Gazkhul. Or, they could end it with Yarrick dying, and Gazzy going into retirement because the only opponent worth fighting (in his eyes) is gone. Gazzy could be an almost poetic kind of figure, lamenting the loss of the only opponent, of any race, who ever made a battle exciting for him. What's the point of fighting, when all of your opponents are chumps and pushovers?

No, it's a battlefield objective. As in: "Choppa: Get to it."

I reckon Yarrick should get into a one on one with Thraka due to something like a misplaced teleport, and in the process get torn in two (hes so old hes going to die soon anyway). But in the process wound Thraka sufficiently that another ork warlord steps up to him and takes over.

I thought Ghaz and Yarrik did go 1 on 1 back on Armageddon, and Ghazghull won, but he couldn't finish Yarrik because Yarrik was too stubborn to die. Later in the War, the Orks won a major battle against the IG and captured Yarrik, but Ghaz let him go because he didn't want to waste the only human that had ever given him a challenge.

I think the first part was at the end of the 2nd War, whereas the second part was between the 2nd and 3rd War during the battle for Golgotha.

After this, the 3rd War began, the Imperials and the Orks were at stalemate and Ghazghull got bored and went to find a new War, so Yarrick and possee (i.e Black Templars) followed him.

That being said, I really do hope that they continue that story line. I also really hope that Ghazghull wins, in my opinion, the imperium has enough heroes.

Acctully they have theoritically advanced the story line if you read the purging of something something whre orks attack the planet controlled by the drak angels at the end novel gazzy gets bored and decides to take his boyz back to armaggedon there by setting the stage for the 4th war of arrmageddon

Don't you see? My Master Tzeentch cares not which of the Great Powers of Chaos you serve. In the end, aren't the followers of the Blood God changing valiant warriors into headless corpses? Aren't the worshippers of the Lord of Flies changing strong, healthy bodies into rotting, diseased carcasses? Aren't the disciples of the Dark Prince changing stern, steadfast heroes into slaves to their own senses? Accept that Tzeentch has a place for all of us in his grand scheme, and be happy in the part you have to play.

That book took place BEFORE the Third War for Armageddon.

Yarrick petitioned Helbrecht to join the Crusade to follow them. Helbrecht agreed, so Yarrick and a large Imperial Guard force has been traveling with Helbrecht's personal crusading army chasing Ghaz across the stars.

Sounds like Captain Ahab and the White Whale, but I've always thought of it more like Montgomery and Rommel, the two seem to have a certain respect for each other.
