If i'm taking Lootas, I think it's pretty unsafe not to at least take some grots to bubble wrap them for a. cover and b. anti-assault. Also, I can then use my Loota/Grot package to claim backfield objectives with and provide a firing station as well.
The
RPJ is something I do like to have, but when I can't fit it, I can't fit it...and having extra grots for the bubble wrap is always good. The 1" is not going to make a difference most of the time....especially when with Ghazghkull all your units have a 24" effective assault range.
The bosspoles I think are a waste of points in a list with Ghazghkull. There isn't a single game that goes by where you don't call a Waaagh...and usually it's on the 2nd or 3rd turn. If anything's fleeing by that point, they automatically regroup and problem solved. If anything is going to flee while the Waaaagh is active for 2 turns, then they are fearless. By turn 3, I'm at the enemy, and I'm usually krumpin' em good.
I will never...ever.....ever drop a klaw from a nob leader. That is just.....so very bad.
I would sooner lose the Burna on the Mek than the grots for
RPJ/
BP's. The Mek has a singular
BP because he goes with Burnas. Burnas can be fragile and easy to break, so since the Mek will be riding with them in the Wagon, I want them to have some good
LD checks.
Also....Stikkbomb chukkas are only on the Nob wagon and the Burna wagon....the only ones that actually might need it. If I'm going to assault some terminators in cover, I definitely want my Burnas getting their initiative charge. Same deal if I'm assaulting something in cover for the nobs. The nobs have an I4 (the big choppa ones) on the charge. It's definitely a boon to go simul at the very least against most units with your Big Choppas to maximize your wound output
IMO.
All of your points are considered though, so thank you!

I can think of so many times when my Shoota boyz in the wagon had no target to shoot at on foot. At that point, I've always wished I had a couple Rokkit Launchas to point at some armor....but I'll probably lose them in my upcoming list anyway just cause I can't fit them and I won't be running a full squad of boyz. (gotta leave room for the Mek in case he gets debarked). If I
AM shooting at something...well then I have 2
str 8 ap3 shots that can possibly provide an easy wound or two against some Power Armor...which is always nice.
