Ahem. Have you checked the score? mostly everyone loves Salamanders hell all my friends in my group are split up between the Salamanders or the Ultramarines. And one Imperial Fist Marine and me the trio Space Wolf, Wanderer, Storm Crusader Ultramarines-Pros- No Genetic Defects, Lots of famous battles Cons- They are Mary Sue and are the most common chapter played ever.... Imperial Fists-Pros- Knight Templar background, Guardians of Terra, Awesome Characters, Beautiful History, Fought at the battle of Terra, founded 2 great chapters. Cons- Disfunctional Organs, RAGE, Get angry really quickly, are almost as mary sue as the ultramarines, their armor is yellow which is annoying as hell to paint. Iron Hands-Pros- Great Chapter, Fought at terra, Istvaan III, Nice Colors, Robots  , Get access to a lot of interesting equipment. cons- They are all robots and hate everything about purity, and they constantly replace parts of them if their bodies are doing something wrong. "Ahhh my arm is itchy! PURIFY IT! *slices it off* *fashions a robotic hand onto the former area where his arm was once part of." White Scars-pros- easy paint scheme, awesome chapter, beautiful history, great records, lots of mongolian history, Cons- The chapter is famous for fighting itself it is because each tribe has members in the same companies which causes a strife and then they battle out killing each other, THIS IS HUGE and bad. Not only that but everyone of them has to have mustache or fabulous set of beards. Salamanders-Pros- Master Crafted EVERYTHING, Vulkan Hestan, Green gotta love it, Humantarians, Crafters, MELTAS, They are all black! Cons- NO HISTORY, Barely anything on them, Very few of them, and they are constantly being loved by Dakka Dakka which makes them very loved. Raven Guard-Pros- Ninjas, Great Captains, Basically all of them are beakies, awesome history, lots of landspeeders, lots of everything, very flexible chapter, -cons- All of them are paled skin due to a defect in their geneseed, Have no terminators or Dreadnoughts Crimson Fists-Pros- Awesome chapter of surivivors, See Crimson fist history, Great Chapter Masters, Cortez Cons- They shot a missile which killed almost their entire chapter, They have 0 neyphotes, they use to have an emperors champions, they suck at defending they are the only chapter that asked for help from other astrates chapters.

I have. It's just that I've seen so many Marine chapters at my local GWs and FLGS, but have NEVER seen a Salamander army. Not once. It makes me sad. =(

The Storm Crusaders, Sword Templars and the Storm Knights share the most similarities to the imperial fists.
Crimson fists use to have an Emperors champion but all the gear was destroyed during the explosion....

I have. It's just that I've seen so many Marine chapters at my local GWs and FLGS, but have NEVER seen a Salamander army. Not once. It makes me sad. =(
Green is hard to do right.
people might also have trouble painting black skin and getting it to look decent.

All basic SM chapters are reatively easy to paint. If you want an army that is really easy to paint, go Necrons. If you want awesomeness, go Space Wolves, Imperial Guard or Orks.
