Good evening Dakka. Now, the title says it all. I need a new Space Marine army to collect. I have many Dark Angels (From my friend) but they just don't fit my style . Same with the Grey Knights. I want the Chapter to be one of these:

Ultramarines
Imperial Fists
Iron Hands
White Scars
Salamanders
Raven Guard
Crimson Fists

And any other ones you can think of. If you have any advice, c and c, etc., then please post.

Well, I do like the Rome feel of the Ultramarines.

Be creative and make your own

Go Novamarines.

It really depends on what you want. If you like the Rome feel of the Ultramarines, go for it. Personally I'd recommend the Iron Hands due to their interesting background and the potential for countless conversions (robotic limbs, servo harnesses, bionic eyes, ect).

What kind of style are you looking for this army to fit, both tactically, and in terms of their fluff, history, and culture?

I prefer Imperial Fists from the list you mentioned, but that's just me.

I like the Salamanders. They seem pretty bad arse. I like their fluff a lot.

Well, I do like the idea of the iron hands, but also want a good fast, strong army.

From the ones you listed, White Scars would be fast as they favor bikers. Raven Guard, too, if you play them with a lot of assault marines.

Well, I like them, but I don't really want to play them. I really like white scars.

I wanted to vote Imperial Fists, but then I remembered yellow is a bear to paint, and I wouldn't want to inflict that kind of pain on you. Then I wanted to say Salamanders, but you said you have Dark Angels, so that would be two green Marine armies, and that might bore you. So I went with Crimson Fists, becuase they don't get nearly the love they should, considering they got the front cover illustration on the 1st edition book. Plus they are blue, but not Ultramrine blue. Blue is an easy color to paint with GW paints, and so is red (for their FISTS!).

So yeah, Crimson Fists.

Ultramarines.

Well, I researched the IF, and all of them, but Im still stumped.

Ultramarines. Blue is easier to paint, and if you buy a special character, you won't have to file off the Chapter symbols.

Salamanders. I would say the lamentors but they aren't there.

why not try a whole race completely, it makes a difference from the same painting style your used to

Iron Hands probably fits him the most, but you can use him with any army using C:SM

If you like them both why not just combine them? Well their chapter ideas and such get rid of their bad parts and just say they do this and this differently.

Though personally I would pick Raven Guard or imperial fists.
