Whoa, those trueborn are great, the capes, and also dissies as blasters, (to quote Freddie Mercury) what a damn jolly good ideaa!

I look forward to seeing what you do with Lokhir Fellheart. I had planned on using him for a Sliscus, but got caught up in a conversion I am doing. Plus being that he's metal makes conversions slightly more difficult. If he goes finecast, I might pickup the idea again.

Hey guys.
Don't you know those ideas which sound so ridiculous and silly, they just have to work?

Well... I need a Baron Sathonyx for my force as his fluff of being the cruel underground king of the rebels and outcasts just fits perfect for my theme. Further he will be a great addition to my beastmaster squad I'm planning to field.

And now onto the silly part. Since I have a spare sail lying around in my bitsbox I had the idea of some sort of "windsurfing" Baron....

Yeah... I know.

Anyway. This is what I have been coming up with.

You will notice that the left wing of the glider is smaller than the right part. This will be corrected when I get my second ravager (I need the spare fin-thingy on the back to do it)

Also I'm not yet happy with his head. Maybe I will replace it. Some minor flaws are also still bothering me, but it's good enough to post pictures here for you to get an impression.

@Ysclyth: Yep... the fact that Lokhir is metal is holding me back too. For the moment....

I think he looks quite intimidating.
Critic and comments are highly appreciated, as allways.

That's a great idea. But you know what? I think you should give the model even more of the windsurfing-theme, mainly placing the sail in the middle and have him standing on the side holding it. What if the handle to the sail was his hellglaive? Right, maybe I'm going a little too far, but still. When you get a good idea, you should emprace it much, right?

Indeed so Saintspirit.
But do you know what?

That was my first intention but it looked horrible.
There wasn't enough space for his feet. I had no idea of how to get the cloak on him if he was standing sideways and I couldn't work out where to place his weapon.

But we do think in the same way. I like that. ^^

Hmm ok that's to bad, but still, great minds think alike

Guess though you could make a surfboard out of plasticard simliar to the new goblin's (in spiderman 3) if you don't think that's too much, then it might work... I think? I've never assembled hellions or corsairs, so it is hard for me to tell.

To be fair imo, I think the asymetric look of 1 large blade and 1 small blade with the off-center sail looks pretty good as-is.

Really? I think it looks too one sided since the big sail is on the same side as the larger blade of the glider.
But maybe I get used to it until the day I buy me a second ravager. ^^

I am in love with those cape wearing Trueborn. Seriously, if I start a Dark Eldar army because of this thread, I'm blaming you.

Wow! All of these look amazing! I'm curious as to how you did the Capes on the Trueborn though. I shamelessly have tried to do it myself but I can't seem to do it. Any chance of a tutorial ?

I took the capes of Dark Elf Corsairs.
You just have to cut the excess of the body inside the cape and the place where the arms are attached to fit the chest part of the Kabalite warrior.

I have to do a second squad. I'll upload pictures of the process if you are interested.
