True enough on Brett, he was peerless.
I prefer Ustinov's Poirot though, despite Suchet being far more faithful to the books. I preferred Joan Hickson's Miss Marple as well and she was a miserable battle axe, also unlike the books where she was a jovial old granny.
I was going to list him earlier, but he was only in the movie versions and that's cheating the thread I think.

My missus would agree with Joan Hickson, although both she and I think Margaret Rutherford is quite fun in that role!

Well, not the disgusted part, the greatest newspaper man part.....
I loved Kolchak as a kid and still do as an adult, he's not a "Hero"...not some "uber bad ass"...hell he's not even particularly brave, he's just a regular guy who just happens to find himself in very strange situations and manages to come out of them in one piece.
