Those are great....... However, to add to a couple of comments already made, I'm afraid that the OSL is a little too much for my taste. I know they are not for me, but maybe a little less?
It would have made great mini's truly awesome ones instead.
But, having said that they are a 1000x better than I could produce. Back to the paint station to practice then!
I love the lighting effects and that's why
I asked Mr. Pud to do up the models. I
fell in love with his GK.
And BTW, he is an excellent communicator
with constant updates and fair prices. He
finishes as promised and I would recommend
him highly.
Of used a number of painters - LiLoser is very good,
Cataclysm is also good, but this went smooth as anything
and I changed the parameters of the commission
twice without a hitch. Very professional.

Beautiful Blood Angels. Felixcat, you are one smart dude! And thank you for the compliment.
I think that is OSL effect needs high contrast to work as well as it does. I think this army is just an amazing study in source lighting, mood and the creation of atmosphere. And what's even better, they are so distinctly nuclealosaur's work; you have a wonderful style that really stands out.
I would absolutely love a tutorial on how you did this. Even if you just talked through the thought process you go through when painting these miniatures would be helpful. Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
I added blue on the snow base of everyone of them just for the sake of having more color. White snow looks boring IMHO!
This project, the client let me loose on the design concept as long as they're WYSIWYG, so I just wanted to make them look cool
I know OSL is getting old and I always do it, but that's the nature of commission painting I suppose; I just get asked to do the effect that I do well. Moreover, it is the style that I'm the most comfortable with (less brush, more airbrush) and gotta admit it feels good working in your comfort zone.
For a change, if anyone is keen on commissioning me to paint some Infinity miniatures, that would be cool! (wink wink, nudge nudge) They're just awesome!
Cool. I did not know such a simple diffrence of the paint in the snow could make the model look all that much better.

Ah, did not know you paint for others. Then what I said was wrong and I take it back
You make it look so easy, one critique would be the words you've added get a bit lost on the white background then it changes quickly. Apart from that great video

Amazing work. As said by a few people the OSL is a bit bright for my tastes but it doesn't take away from the skill you use to paint. Overall very impressed sir.
It's quite a commitment to go that extreme with the OSL. I gather from some of the comments you're a veteran with the effect
Anyway I like the way it's 'legitimised' by the white-hot looking blade. I love the way it's all white with just that hint of turquoise. Very subtle and very striking.
