What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
It looks really very nice and all and a whole world apart from what I can produce, but... and I don't mean to be a jerk, it also demonstrates what I hate about OSL. Blue light reflecting of a red object To me it just doesn't look right. The snow would reflect more of that light then the armour (which would relect very little if any blue).
Whats the name of the track you have on the video?

I fully respect how well done these are and I love the techinical detail used on these but I'm not a massive fan of that much OSL effect. If the model was inside a dark and confined space, like the corridors of a space hulk, this would be perfect but outside in an open space it just seems a little much for my tastes.
I don't mean to come off as rude or anything, it's just my opinion.
They look nice indeed. But didn't you already do allot of them other terminators or something? Same style same effect. Still looks nice, just a little less wow now.
Snow is a nice touch though.
I added blue on the snow base of everyone of them just for the sake of having more color. White snow looks boring IMHO!
This project, the client let me loose on the design concept as long as they're WYSIWYG, so I just wanted to make them look cool
I know OSL is getting old and I always do it, but that's the nature of commission painting I suppose; I just get asked to do the effect that I do well. Moreover, it is the style that I'm the most comfortable with (less brush, more airbrush) and gotta admit it feels good working in your comfort zone.
For a change, if anyone is keen on commissioning me to paint some Infinity miniatures, that would be cool! (wink wink, nudge nudge) They're just awesome!

Fasai did them for me. I always the painter loose so that they do what they do best. I never specify a scheme or color palette. If I could paint that well I would do it myself ... I'm not bad but I'm not as good as this. I did paint up some of my models. I'll have two or three very different looking lists in the end.
I'm well pleased with the results and I intend on getting Fasai to do up a couple of Fuiosos and some Razors once I accumulate more funds. Unless I get a second time discount, wink wink.

Glad you're happy with the end result, can't wait til you get to see the real models. Posties don't work during the weekend so I'll post them this Monday.
No problem about the second time discount!
