Ghazzy wins on the charge if hes got the power of the Waaagh!

Calgar would win hands down because he's a space marine and the spiritual liege of all space marines.
If this ever happened in the cannon and Matt Ward got to wrote it, the two would fight such a titanic fight that the fabrics of space ripped and the 2 gets sucked into the warp only for Ghazz to be instantly killed while Calgar goes around slaugtering the demons after having his way with ghaz's dead body. Then he'll beat down that m'shenk dude, burn down some nurgle gardens, rape some demonettes, punch holes all over tzeentch's crystal tower, rip the right handrest out of khorne's brass throne and every once in a while, voluntarily poping out of the warp to aid his ultramarine battle brothers in battle.

If Belial, as a Company Master at the time, could survive against Gazzy I don't think big bad Calgar will have any problems.

I personally now think they would both die. Calgar would probably kill Ghaz eventually, but then would die himself from the severity and abundance of his injuries. The reason calgar may kill Ghaz first is due to his speed, but due to Ghazzy's sheer power and the fact that he considers himself invincible, he would probably mortally wound calgar, before or just as he himself went down

I'm thinking freeze-frame ending à la Rocky 3.

Calgar would destroy Ghazghkull. Calgar's powerfists are pretty much indestructible. so how can Ghazghkull even stop calgar from blocking his attacks. not to mention calgar's body is like what 70% bionic!? covered in (most likely terminator armor). If calgar can stop the swing of the Avatar with a single hand and hold the Avatar's sword he can also stop Ghazghkull.

Plus Calgar is an Ultramarine and they pretty much win everything.

I'd agree that they would prolably kill each other after an epic fight. Ghaz does have the power of the WAGGH!! and I'm sure he would go absolutly Ape S**T tryin to kill Calgar that he wouldn't even acknowledge any mortal wound until Calgar was dead after which Ghaz would fall over dead from all the wounds he suffered.

Ghazghkull thraka would win in my opinion buddy.

He survived, but Ghazghkull CRUSHED Belial, company master of the Deathwing, who was clad in Terminator armour, obviously.

The fight was so incredibly brief and Belial was horribly outmatched.

This actually answers something else people have been saying, namely the assumption that Ghaz is slow. He very quickly and handily took out Belial, nearly tearing him in half.

The Avatar of Khaine is the designated Worf of 40k. Beating it means nothing at all.

Ghaz is too hench for calgar

I think Thraka would probably win for reasons already stated, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Calgar winning if he got lucky...for example, if he could get at Ghazghkull's bare head he might be able to just crush it with his gloves o' doom, but I doubt Ghazghkull would stand round and let that happen.

If Ghazghkull won he would probably end up with some massive injuries, but even then, if an Ork can survive having his head transplanted I'm sure the biggest Ork there is could survive some really nasty wounds. He's probably also got access to the best Doks and Meks to help with things like that (assuming he's able to get away after the fight, as I'm guessing that anyone able to kill Calgar would immeidately get the attention of a very large number of very angry Space Marines).

Marneus Calgar is going to win. No contest.

Plot armor says Calger wins. Even a mere human (Yarrick) was able to best Ghaz in a fight. So that's what would happen: They fight, Calgar defeats Ghaz but Ghaz gets back up and limps off to another Waaagh!!

Not quite, Belial was not the Master of the Deathwing yet, nor is it suggested he was in terminator armor as most masters (ie. captains) don't wear it. (p. 43 DA Dex). . Please cite where it says it was brief. He was wounded yes, but not so much as Belial was out of it, hell he directed the rest of the battle and beat Gaz and Nazdreg back until the rest of the reinforcements arrived.

Yarrik never beat Thrakka in a fight. Depending on what fluff you read he did beat him on the battlefield(as commanding officer) and killed one of his second-in commands though.

On Topic, my vote goes for Crapgar, especially if Mr. Ward gets his hands on him. That and a buddy of mine has an eternal hard on for Gazzy so im really biased due to annoyance.

I reckon Ghaz is beat by calgar as a tactician but in a 1 on 1 ghaz takes the cake and calgar ends up in a dreadnought.

Hands down, Calgar would win though there may be some difficulty but if didn't go down with close combat and with "minions", Calgar would win at that too as he is accomponied by three squads of the finest of the chapter in artificer armour, most chapter masters only got one
