Don't you guys have a big name local craft/art supply store... They should sell it, it should be pretty cheap and last forever.

My local is really expensive at least.

For my general purpose painting I use a S7 size 0 Finest, and for detailing I use a S7 size 000 Finest. I find that the size difference between consecutive sizes is so miniscule that it's not worth buying them. I.E. the difference between a 0 and 00 is irrelevant and the difference between a 00 and 000 is irrelevant, but the difference between a 0 and a 000 is significant.
BTW, my understanding is that the miniature/finest brushes are identical, the name refers to the handle instead. As for brush cleaner, etc. I use linseed oil, gets everything out of the brush and conditions it to, doesn't have anything in it that is harmful to the brush fibers either unlike certain chemical soaps.

Nah, it's bristle length, the finest range are much longer which I don't like, it's just personal preference.

By far the best prices on these brushes that I have see in the US is from dickblick.com. The same W&N miniature Series 7 brush that retails for $26 is usually 50%-70% cheaper there.
ASW Express ( www.aswexpress.com) is my go-to site for high quality brushes. Think the S7 are normally about 65% off retail.
In my experience you can get YEARS out of a high quality brush. So dropping $10 on a S7 is a no-brainer. I'd probably go through 10 or more golden taklon brushes during the lifespan of a S7.

Gotcha. I actually prefer the longer bristle length, it allows the brush to hold more paint, and gives you extra buffer room to prevent paint from clogging up the ferrule and ruining the brush.
As for ASW, I've never heard of it, but I use http://www.dickblick.com/ they have a similar thing in regards to the pricing on the S7 brushes. Its worth the extra price not just for the quality but for the brush life. At this point most of the cheap hobby store brushes I've owned would be split and destined for the drybrush/junk brush pile, my S7's are still good as new, although granted, I've only had them for about a year now (whereas my cheapo brushes usually kick it after 1 month, 2 tops). I've read stories of people using the same S7 brushes for years, decades even, with no sign of damage/wear and tear.
