Is this module PC only?

I can't get Vassal on my Mac to import it. It says it is an invalid import file.

i cant get the module downloaded and saved...

No its platform independent. Perhaps your Mac has problems because its still packed as a rar.

I got it running fine on OSX. My friend using Win7 got errors whilst downloading the Vassal engine, and when running a virus scan some malware was found that could only have arrived during the acquisition of Vassal or the 40K plugin.

When I downloaded it, the grey knight, blood angels and dark eldar still aren't there.

Yes, it is a rar. So how do I fix this? I'm not super skilled when it comes to computers..

I might be able to help here. Can you tell us what version of OSX you have? And have you checked all your updates are current?

All my updates are current.

Righto, well right now you've got a compressed archive that contains the module and the files the module needs. You need a utility app that can open the .rar and turn it into the folder. I used The Unarchiver to do this; it (and loads of other handy stuff) can be downloaded from http://www.freemacware.com

Once you unzip the .rar, you'll have a Vassal40k 5.4E folder containing Vassal40k.vmod and Vassal40k_ext. Keep everything in the Vassal40k 5.4E folder and put the folder somewhere safe; all you should need to do now is run Vassal and use it to open Vassal40k.vmod

Thanks for the info, everything is up and running now and I have been observing a few games.

Then you downloaded the wrong version. Did it say it is Version E?

Blood Angels are even in D.

Did you unpack it? Rar files are like zip files.

How do you unpack it?Links and stuff would be useful.

It doesn't seem to be working for me and i'm using winrar but vassal keeps telling me it can't be imported

@nagash42 - might help diagnosis if you could take a screen cap of things so we can see what's what.
