I liked the idea of "if the dead rise, sanguinuis will be back"

Who knows, maybe Father Nurgle will create a new plague to raise the dead, and then take over Sanguinuis' mortal reamains. THAT would be a sight to see

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

NO! I hate this crap. He is dead, let him stay that way. Sanguinius being killed by Horus is not only a key factor in Blood Angel fluff, it is a big moment in 40k as a whole. It lessens the impact if he suddenly shows up again.

Blood Angel omnibus depicts Rafen as receiving a vision from Sanguinius, meaning his soul is still around and watching over his Blood Angels. I don't see why it can't be left at that.

Nurgle has already created that plague several times. Sanguinius is still dead and buried.

Details please (I will falcon punch you into next week if this IS a Draigo reference...)

in the white dwarf article about the cursed founding i belive, i can get the number if you wish.

please dont falcon punch me into next week i have a date on friday

in Inquisitor, a Space Marine can take a krak grenade, pull out the pin, eat the grenade, throw the pin, and the thrown pin will actually kill a normal man, whereas the Space Marine won't even have indigestion. This has actually happened in a game. Hell, a marine can throw his bolt shells and do more damage than by shooting his boltgun

That would be pretty cool if you could, then I could see about rustling up a copy and having a read.

And no falcon punch for you, unless it really IS a Draigo reference... but I'll wait until saturday to do it

I can only think of one way to bring Sanguinius back.

And that would be for a warp shift of such massive proportions that you can out over 10,000 years previous to you going in, managed to find the Emperor, convince him what was going to happen, completely change or prevent the Horus Heresy, and make everything all nice and roses.

Of course, such massive changes would mean the you to be born in 10k years would have no incentive to go back in time, therefore you dont, so the Horus Heresy happes as we know.

So you'd go back in time 10,000 years, manage to find the Emperor, manage to............

Clone the dead body and bind the soul to it. Of course the act would probably only be able to be done by the Emp or possibly Magnus without turning straight to chaos. But I guess it could lead to a Dark Blood Angels faction as well :p

Most likely dead as dead, but anything is possible.

Sarge: Quick, Kill them!
Grunt: Wait, but those are ladies, we cant hurt ladies.
Sarge: Those arent ladies, they're Deamonettes. They will tear you limb from limb and eat your soul.
Grunt: But sir... that's what ladies do....

Nope, I'd want it too, he might bring some stability to the Imperium and all, but if he comes back then Matt Ward would cry until he could bring back Guilliman in some ludicrous manner, thus giving him no more reason to continue the existence of Draigo.

Mat would probably be the one to bring old Sanny back so its not like he would be complaining. still, Guilliman actually has the possability of coming back. His wounds are supposedly healing and he wasn't quite dead when they put him in the stasis field IIRC.

No Primarchs are going to comeback, the fluff isnt going to advance.

Your best bet is if GW seize the Heresy series momentum and release a Heresy era version of 40k complete with huge legions and Primarchs galore!

They would be fool not to, although for balance purposes epic scale would make more sense.

Sanguinius could POSSIBLY return.

The Emperor could have POSSIBLY been Freddie Mercury.

As long as the current heading of the 40k universe, I highly doubt any Primarchs are ever going to return.

Speaking of which, I'm going to go check on that pig wing growing project in our newly refrigerated Hell.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

Sanguinus didn't actually die, he went on a secret mission with the second primarch to map the Eye of Terror using the webway. While there they met up with Russ and exchanged info over the chaos held planets.
The black rage has nothing to do with Sanguinus' death (because he's not), it's a ruse designed to hide the fact that their gene seed is mutating faster than they can control and they're having problems similar to the Wolves Wulfen curse.

This was handled in one of the HH short stories I think. One of the sisters of battle went back in time by bacrificing a ship fulll of psykers in order to warn her past self to warn the Emperor.
Spoiler:
She got killed

And please tell me cadbren is joking...

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.
