If I could choose one way not to die in fantasy it would be being stuffed in a giant's pants. If he dies you may very well end up crushed to death by his junk. If he lives you are trapped in the worst place in the world and then hauled off likely to be eaten. Nothing could be worse.

also, the lore of life spell the Dwellers Below seems pretty grim, dragged into the dirt to suffocate while dead things claw you to ribbons.

Oh, and the insanity effect of a Jabberslythe's probbaly pretty grim way to go, clawing out your own eyes because you can't even stand the horror of seeing it...

compared to that a swift chop to the head from Skulltaker seems merciful.
