It's hard to hate a dim witted green lout with a speech impediment and a random-as-hell cannon

Plus they probably got the smallest helping of cheese of any codex handed down in the last 5 years or so

The Nob Warbiker list used to be considered quite cheesy, or so I hear.

Most cries of cheese are severely exaggerated, and can be solved by a power fist or demolisher cannon.

It was at the beginning of 5th edition when counters weren't as capable or as available. Now with armies having more units, more big guns, faster units and more abilities, it's not as big of an issue.

It was a smidge pungent, but nothing on the BS cheese that's been coming down the pike since Nob warbikers are also very points prohibitive in useful numbers.

Yeah, that's what I heard of, actually from what I have been told the list basically evaporated when the Imperial Guard codex came out.

It was also weak against certain other army builds, escecially if they ignored cover or FNP.

Battle sisters were actually pretty good against mine, with all those flamers..

No army should be hated. Not in 40k, a wonderful sci-fi-fantasy game.

So you guys never actually tough that I post 80% of my threads to learn something? This site after all is for learning and sharing what is learned ( although most of posts here are discussion ). The rest 20% of my posts is to ask people for their opinion on some matter, and I learn quite some bit from their posts.

And I also think that people who openly here post certain things against their own race ( Humanity ) need to check their heads to.

It seems to me (at least in my FLGS) that the Wolves are the most hated, mostly for their great advantages over the vanilla 'dex. Although I've managed to make one person hate them just because of my Wolf Star unit of four Lords on Thunderwolf...

I'm surprised that Tau and Necrons get hate anymore. While I admit that Tau are powerful in the right hands, both them and Necrons are fairly weak armies in 5th Edition.

And I also think that people who openly here post certain things against their own race ( Humanity ) need to check their heads to.

The humans in the future are so far gone from what we are today that I think it's acceptable to bad mouth them. Before the Emperor was fatally wounded and placed on dialysis the human race was out to colonize the universe and make it safer. Now they're in decline trying to cling to a false sense of righteousness. No race in 40k is without flaw... except maybe the Tau, but there flaw is their codex.

WHAT? NO ULTRAMRINES???? In that case the army I dislike the most, for fluff at least, would have to be Tau.

It's not that, I also agree that Humans in 40k are to xenophobical and superstitious. But people post totally different things than this above you posted, I don't want to get off topic or to incinerate some hate.

Since it's all fictional, not really. I think you need to realize that fact. I prefer Chaos Space Marines to the Imperium, I want the Imperium to be brought down and destroyed, oh noes! I'm a traitor to a bunch of fictional people. Move along.

Actually, the Black Templars are far and away my favourite SM chapter. They have a level of awesomeness that's hard to beat just from the art alone

I'd have to say Tau.
They're really the sore thumb of 40k. They're the only army that's really truly bad at CC, their shooting is meh save markerlights, and their fluff makes every other race look weird.

Enh, they're all good in their own ways.

I know it's easy to get involved in the fluff, I know I do.

Even the ones that do stuff that makes my stomach churn - and there are a few of those - make for good bad guys, so it's hard to hate them for being a needed role in a universe. If everyone was all happy and great and everything, I'd constantly be asking myself, "And why are all these people fighting?"

Even when I play armies that are allied with each other in their custom fluff, against each other, it can be hard to come up with a convincing reason other than a sparring match in a simulator, which kinda takes away from the coolness of the battle.
