when taking macro pictiures, never zoom past the line, where it changes colours. On my camera, it is from a blueish to white. Once in the white. it will not do a proper macro. in the blue.. it is great, if I need zoomed in closer, move the camera in.
That seems to be how it works with most modern digital cameras with macro function.

Nah, you just have to find someone who has free time and likes to paint. Find someone who enjoys painting chaos figures. They'll generally have a better idea on how to paint the figs. I for example can dip the bajeezus out of a batch of nids. Almost no thought involved. Find someone that paints chaos.
Generally though, the following rule applies to having work done:
Fast, cheap, quality. Pick two features that you like.
Fast and cheap yields bad quality.
Fast quality won't be cheap.
And cheap quality won't come fast.

No problem. Your Goliaths are very clear. Any chance of seeing the repaints? I'm not giving you crap - I'm legitimately interested in seeing them.

Here is an example of a $5 job through my services; Airbrush basecoat, airbrush highlight, wash, pick out a few details, 30min tops. Never underestimate the power of a clean paint job. My minimum price is 5$ per small base figure, but the above is what your going to get, the profit is made in quantity. Ashton

I do the odd commission job, but i tend to do it more for the chance to paint figures I wouldn't normally get myself or paint in schemes i wouldn't normally do myself. Yes i do charge a small fee, but for what i charge, i do not make much if any profit.
at the end of the day, it's down to people's own preference on what they will or won't pay for, the OP like many other people may not like the idea of paying $5 per mini, but then there are other people who are more than willing/able to pay to have work done by someone else.

This one?
That's really good, and the conversion is cool too.
cod3x wrote:I've played WH40k for years, but i've never been hot on painting my units. The Painting Center here is awesome, but going rates are around $5 per model, and at 40-70 models, thats a chuck of change that outprices most of my 750 pt games lol.
I'm looking for a real quality paint job on CSM, 10-14 termies, 5 raptors, 10 Plague Marines (5 non-gw models) 5 Chosen (non GW models) 5-8 Havocs, 15 or so vanilla CSM, maybe 5 lesser deamons, 2 bikes, a few random models, and bits.
I do not have $350.00 so $5 a model is out, but a $200 army project can be arranged. If anyone is intrested, please PM me. If I am way off base, please let me know, as I am new to this scene. Thanks guys
Too bad this guy hasn't been back to his post... There's some good offers here.

Thanks for the overwhelming response everyone. I posted a seperate thread to close this one out, but obviously it didnt really take. I'm going to use Texas Instruments, but thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response, several really talented people post here.
Quick note, to everyone who told me no one would get a quality paint job for that price, read over this very thread and learn. Many extremely talented painters are willing to do jobs without breaking the bank.
Posting results soon...
