There is a degree of Irony when people can look at a picture of a half naked woman with barely functional armour and a picture of an Ork, but chose to call out the armoured woman as being unrealistic......says something about our community I think

Wow pretty impressive stuff!

I will agree I am not a fan of oversized weapons also and hopefully they may reduce them down a little. The horses also need to look a little more dynamic in my opinion. They also seem to have done a mounted and foot version for the male and female human warriors or is it me going mad? If they have I certainly like this idea.

Does anyone know if this will be a Fantasy version of Dust Tactics or more a Dungeon Crawl? If they do premium painted version like the do for Dust Tactics they will be a very interesting proposition.

The trolls are Amazing!! The concept art is nice, but I'm not as much of a fan of the human models. But the trolls... beautiful, beautiful trolls...

I love the massive tuning fork sword, as a classically trained musician I wholeheartedly approve! I agree with jah, I want my minis to look like they stepped out of a comic book and I'm quite alright with the inverse armor theory. Women in proper full plate look great as do women in metal bikinis, and people have made fantastic minis out of both of them. "But Kirbinator, your awesomeness, that's not realistic! Steel bras don't protect them in battle at all!" And that makes me like women in metal bikinis less... how?

Also a huge, huge fan of those trolls! I'll have to pick up one or two just for sheer awesomeness.

I really like the Trolls as well (they seem to be getting a lot of praise here). Not often you see an armored Troll.

Now to just wait patiently for this new line to grow and have a decent selection...

Is it done yet? Nuts *kicks rock*

Awesome. The concept art is gorgeous, and the sculpts aren't far behind. Now to wait for them to release a more fully-clothed faction. My girl would not be pleased to see those on my painting table.

The world may or may not be full of games set in a Fantasy World, but it isn't full of games that look this good!

Looking forward to more here!

Damned nice miniatures! I love the female ones - but hey, I'm a big fan of women in general. These look very well-done. ^_^

Fully armored or wearing a plate bikini, they're both good options. ^_^ I've enjoyed painting my Repentia just as much as I've enjoyed painting their squad leader. ^_^

I hate to Necro a thread, but I felt I'd update an old one rather than start a new one-MODs, if you want a new one, just say so before terminating this one: looks like these are up for sale on CMoN and Paolo's Dust page as of 5 days ago. Prices look a bit steep, but they do come with 2 versions of each character, and are at 32mm, not 28.

Did he sculpt for Rackham? Some of these minis remind me of those.

He was a concept artist and fine art illustrator for Rackham. Many of the AT-43 designs were inspired by his initial ideas for Dust.

Here is a piece he did that was used for a cover of Rackham's Cry Havoc mag...

The trolls are still great... at first, I thought 2 for $40 was steep. And I guess it is... but GW's river trolls are 3 for $47, and these are limited edition / resin / etc.

Nice that they're finally offering some for sale at least!

20 USD / model is past the price I could pay for a plastic naked lady, however well done she might be. And these are well done.

My friend said when he looked, they were limited edition models, they only made like 300 or something, and once they're gone...they're gone. Also, resin, not plastic. I could go back and look...or just believe him. Believing him, that $20 each is worth it. If he's wrong...they aren't. But they are gorgeous.

Just looked: resin, and 350 copies, worldwide. So...yes, $20 IS worth it for those limited models.

Rant mode on and using a megaphone here.

THIS LTD EDITION STUFF IS FREAKING ANNOYING!

I mean why bother, 350 of such sweet trolls will fly so fast that you either pay up the extra limited prices now or end up disapointed!

BAH!

Sköll the Protector is a beautiful sculpt, cast in the finest resin. Both miniatures are included, as well as the two scenic bases that are made of plastic.
Sköll comes also with a numbered and signed certificate. There are only 350 copies worldwide.

That says "limited edition to me-see the "350 copies worldwide" part. Now, they may make more...but at this moment, they're limited. Unless you have proof that says otherwise? My quote was taken directly from Paolo's page.

No proof other than the wording. The first edition is limited to 350 copies, but after this there will most likely be a general release.

The innovation here is obvious. Normally we see cleavage, this is now bringing us into the realm of the bewb underside. Some may argue that this is merely a logical progression, while others will point out that "heh, heh, bewbs."

I, for one, agree.

They will struggle to release any of these models, seeing how they have nothing to do with this license.

Does that count as NSFW if the aeriolas are showing, but the nipples are not?

I, for one, agree.

Fantasy artists and sculptors have been putting upside-down bras on women for quite some time now. Bugs the crap out of me because while, yeah, bewbs! and all, the moment she moves they're going to be dropping out the bottom of it.

I mean, I'm all for impractical fantasy garb, but clothing that looks like it wouldn't allow the wearer to actually move belongs on characters who have no need to move. If you want your warrior women to wind up running around with boobs akimbo, just leave the top off entirely and be done with it.
