No they are Viking superhuman Nazis but like I said no flame war (yes that includes little comments like that)

yeah he is hes got an assault army we did a battle last time and it was bad

what he does he has korne berzerkers in a rhino chaos lord with termys in a land raider then he has possesed and you guessed it in a rhino and another tactal squad in a rhino
they rush up to my necron then its just overkill

i shoot at these metal boxes but i just cant destroy them (its probably me with my cursed dice)

has anyone got a tactic to take down an assault chaos army
or trickes?

oh and he aslo has a chaos deamon with wings

Rhinos are only AV 11 on the front ... impretty sure your standard weapons ''Gauss'' effect can do something to that, i just cant remeber what it does.....

And like i said, Heavy Destroyers for the Daemon with Wings, when it move close to you, you move away, all your Destroyers are relentless anyway

Look up and study the rules for Jetbikes, and you can just cheese the whole game out

Well berserkers are orks in power armour really, But if he has KHAN!!!! they are so much more so just let some warriors rend them to death, and a lord with a warscythe cuts through rhinos like butter.

destroyer gun line = Smoking recks and Burning corpses

Oh heck, i remeber now, Gauss always glances on a 6, so, 20 24" shots on a rhino, should alteast get you to stop it moving for a turn, or an imobilised

i have used 2 monoliths before in one battle

well i havent used to monoliths for a long time so i havent got a tactic or a plan with them i might not even use 2 monliths

Havent used Monoliths in a long time? if i played necrons i'd have one EVERY game

well this is when i change i was trying out all the other units to see if they were effective in battle

Well basically, ive already said, against a close combat army, you need to keep moving, try to get as many ''Gauss'' weapon shots on the Rhinos as you can, then monolith spam the Obliterators and anything else that drops out of the Rhinos

lord resurrection orb veil of darkness 200pts
necron lord with desroyer body resurrection orb phase shifter warsythe 210pts
15 warriors 270pts
14 warriors 252pts
10 immortals 280pts
5 destroyers 250pts
1 heavy destroyer 65pts
2 monoliths 470pts

Yeah... keep with the monoliths. Trust me, they are the only thing really going for Necrons. Destroyers will make a mess of most of his stuff, and the nightbringer won't have a problem with anything less than Abaddon. I personally wouldn't reccomend getting other people to build an army list for you, getting used to what works and fits in a list first hand is important.

I would personally be taking Nightbringer, Monoliths, Destroyers and Immortals, though these units are going to take a serious chunk out of your points. Obviously not a full army list there, just some good units. For a full list, ask one of Dakka's many Necron Veterans. Personally, mine are shelved until the next codex.

Try giving the Lord a Phylactery

Immortals are okay but i'd go for walls of Warriors, so ... more warriors mate

and Try and fit in a few more HEAVY Destroyers, coz they rule

well i only have 2 heavys and people say there easy to kill and i think immortals are awesome with the lord it can do serious damage so i might get rid of the heavy destroyers and i was thinking of putting more warriors so i will make my new army now and see if its good enough for a anti assault csm army

Lords are only really worth it with Res Orb and Viel stuck with Immortals in my experience, but a Destroyer lord can work too apparently. I'd stay away from things like Gaze of flame, psylachtery and so on. they often don't get used, and are designed to counter units that the Necron Lord should not be in combat with.

I have played against a unit and they are deadly.

Dont deploy your Warriors, depp strike you monolith, and just bring them out fo the front of that, keep you skimmers moving .... and make sure your Immortals are in good cover and you should be okay
