F*** that!!!
This is a Super Heavy Weapon, fielded on SUPER HEAVIES.
To make it fair, you would have to give it the trailer, and make it an artillery piece, with the gun being an F12, S11, R11 and the trailer being 12 all around. The hits would be randomized between the trailer and the gun and the only other gun besides the VMB would be tops a heavy stubber/bolter. The explosion is a good idea. Also, Master of Ordinance, I did not realize that anyone could be as good as Glen Bleck it terms of twist others words around. Big_D, I understand your desire to put a giant gun on a leman russ, but really? Do IG need more tank patterns? Just get a baneblade or drop the VMB. Deadshot, you are right about Crons normally, but Apoc is one of the only places where Crons arent just "dead anyway."

Ya, I play Crons, what about it?
Also, they are just shiny space zombies with guns.

what do you mean "twist words"?
also this is what ive being saying from the start.
youd have to have an ammo trailer the size of a Rhino for 1 turn of firing.

Land Train! 5-7 Rhino sized Ammo Trailers! Or, rather, you buy the VMB, but it has no ammo. You have to buy each ammo trailer seperately, and they each give one turn of shooting! After they're used up, they can be used as Rhinos with no weapons, to transport infantry units that embark on them.

You yourself (Master of Ordinance) posted that the VMB uses shell recycling as a way to mitigate the amount of ammo, so why cant an ammo trailer do the same thing for the artillery version? Overall it is an easily destroy-able heavy weapon emplacement that has a few more drawbacks than the other similar weapon emplacements. For example, I would add an overheat/jam option that if 5 or more sixes are rolled to wound then the gun jams and cannot fire next turn. I remember someone saying that the idea for the fluff is an improvised weapon so that would make some sense anyway. As for the recoil, the weapon system actual includes that as part of its design. Otherwise you could do the land train idea though making a minimum of 5 trailers is a bit weird, maybe 3-5 trailers and make it work as a vehicle squadron.

a super heavy ammo trailer MAY carry the facilities for that. NOT a landraider. and considering that the recoil could push a tank along at combat speed thats one damn impressive system if it can cope with ALL of it. Like the 3-5 land train and jam ideas. nb: wouldnt rolling to hit be better for the jam rules. and maybe 6-7, 1s
