I for one know many people in China who run honest businesses and work hard to provide for their families. Who is anyone to assume that they are an illegal company? No sir, I'll wait until all the facts are in before I make a judgement.

They even say they are recasts.
Indeed Howard (just had a look at the prices). Although, who wants to pay shipping back to China if your product is fethed?

While that picture is of a blood slaughterer, they are actually selling the impaler.
I hope you realised this, although if you didn't it would be an apt time to test their customer service and for me to laugh.
EDIT: They sell both, pictures are the wrong way round.

I love Rackham miniatures, easily some of the coolest models ever. If they're good recasts I might even be tempted.

Scott-S6 wrote:How can they be cheaper and not be re-casts? Even retailers can't buy FW for those prices.
They may be original products using the same FW/ GW metal, plastics or resins. Simply ask yourself: where are these products manufactured? I know GW had a facility in China for a while, and I think FW is still produced in China. They may have a portion of their products produced locally for the SE-Asia market. Instead of shutting everything down at 5:00, the workers may stay an extra hour or so and run off another set of products for them to resell. The cost in extra materials and labor is minimal, so they don't need to have as much of a price markup as GW. The products may be of the same material and quality and indistinguishable from a legitimate good. This used to be (probably still is) a huge problem in China. I have a friend who used to be able to get high-end electronics at half price (or better) because he regularly visited China and these types of overproduction goods would be available at the street market.

Which is why the Dreadknight is resin.

If it works, let us know. I wants me a Malanthrope and technically I wouldn't be buying GW products as these aren't real GW models.

Are they recasts?
Most probably.
Will they actually ship to you?
Yes, they will.
Will it take a month or so to get here?
Yes, it will.
Was the casting quality acceptable?
YMMV, but I thought it was perfectly fine.

I risked it - I got a lot of sang guard for about £30... considering 1 box is nearing 25 I thought it was a good deal. A few little bits off and very few bubbles (better than failca$t?)

Certain hi-volume FW items are produced in Shanghai. A handful of unusual GW products were produced out there (realm of battle).
These are re-casts. Stop trying to convince yourself otherwise.

Umm...I'm not.
I'm simply suggesting an alternative explanation.
This doesn't change the fact that that goods produced and resold in this manner are illegal.
Overproducing goods for resale on the black (grey?) market is a well known fact in lots of industries, I can't imagine why GW would be immune.

Depends on who you ask. If they're recasting, then they're breaking law. We could argue morality of the topic one way or another for hours and hours on end. It's grey area.
The one thing you should consider before buying though, is that if you're spending money from your 'wargaming budget' on this stuff that you would otherwise spend on other GW products, you're hurting GW's business. That might appeal to some of the more... disgruntled... people out there, but at the end of the day, GW is not receiving incentive from you to continue developing the designs that they've produced.
If that's something you can live with, then I wouldn't worry about it. But it's Chinese resin, which means it's coming from an unknown location, from an unknown factory, in a country with a dubious track record for health and safety standards. We don't know its FW factory resin. There could be ALL kinds of nasty things the likes of which not even FW allows into their resin, which is saying something.

Original doesn't mean original owner, it means original from the producer.
The Mona Lisa was bought second hand, but I wouldn't tell the Louve that it's not original.

We've seen this site before and the preponderance of evidence is that it is a pirate recasting site.
Seeing as this board is supported in part by advertisers who sell the legit products let's not support them.
