This is strange. Some guys purportedly selling forgeworld for dirt cheap. What's the story?

I think this has been brought up before and I think it's a Chinese recaster.

Anyone actually bought from him though?

Free shipping over $20 means it's free most of the time. has to be a recast surely...

Several Dakkanauts bought from them. However the previous thread got shut down before they could report back. They take Paypal so they look legit in that respect.

I wouldn't trust that site, all the spelling and grammatical errors scream scam/recast.

Paypal should keep you insulated from a scam, you aren't supplying bank details. If they don't send stuff then you reverse the transaction. At worst you would be out of pocket for $20 of something. I don't see that it is a scam to rob you, though they are likely recasts for those prices. You can't get them second hand for that money.

i was looking at the site and if you clicck on warhammer at the bottom it shows what state their in, they are the actual models, metal models are metal, plastic are plastic. their not recasts for alot cheaper

The guy I bought a Plague Hulk and Chaplain Dread from used PayPal through his store as well.

That was a wasted $120 bucks. He wasn't even a recaster - just a scammer.

Should, yes. But it doesn't.

My scammer got away with his money. I lodged a fraud complaint and went through all the motions by the letter. If PayPal cannot contact the other party they cannot get the money back, and that leaves you gak outta luck.

Even under chinese law, making identical copies is not legal. However, if they make a tiny modification then it's legal (there).

Importing them in the UK would leave you open to civil action although it's highly unlikely that it would ever be enforced against someone who's imported for personal use, not sure what the situation is in the US.

Exactly. Recently a couple of knock-off Apple Stores (yes, they make entire fake stores) were shut down. Were they shut down for being copy cat Apple Stores? No, they were shut down because they had the wrong business permits. The other (fake) Apple Stores that had the right permits stayed open.

According to those who have received goods from them the castings are good. They must be knock offs

To all those people that believe a company selling resin versions of plastic models is legit - This fantasy world you live in sounds nice. I might like to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Legit as in "will send me what I buy, regardless of whether it's a knock-off or not" or legit as in "will take my money and send me nothing".

Not all of it, they make their own original casts too.

The Main question thats burning in my mind, is are they a decent quality recast as... I don't REALLY mind them being recast so long as i save money and get myself some nice looking forgeworld models...
