Yes and it is glorious. The look on your opponents face when he sees your entire deployment zone filled with bloodthirsty warriors that are gonna rush forward in a never ending tide is priceless.

Personally I run a list with around 120 orks and 10 walkers, as well as some helicopters. At 1750. Footslogging.

And yes, it DOES make you feel like a god. Or an unrelenting force of nature. I almost simpathise with my opponents.

I often run this against IG, and THAT is really epic. I would actually say IG is the most epic, as an army, but it does not really work when you are mostly playing against SM armies half your number and then shoot them to death. Alteast with a melee horde has some buildup.

Generally epicness seems to happen much more often if you are playing the evil horde army. So yeah, I vote orks.

Tyranids.

I love putting down 6 troops choices (3 of them Tervigons), and a few Tyrants with T6 Tyrant Guard... Maybe a couple of Trygons as well, if there's room. Raveners seem to keep people in fear of the 24" threat bubble they possess.

But having 4-6 regenerating T6 creatures backed up by hordes of small, expendable creatures is pretty intimidating. Makes target priority very difficult for my opponent...

Orks. For what other army has there own variation on the name of an expansion. Nothing beats 20k of Orks massing for an ORKOPALYPSE. See how awesome that is. Now imagine having guys that send round reptillian kirbies with bombs strapped to them into the enemies. You cant possibly go wrong. Not to mention (this is serious portion) just how much of a blast it is to put together ork kits. Of all the armies I have Orks are hands down the funnest to build and paint.

You hate painting crisis suits? They are fairly easy IMHO, Because they are big and not TOO detailed, it's the itty bitty guys I hate painting, especially because literally every non-sergeant FW pose has their arms over their chest, which makes it hard to paint the details they have there. Plus I run Sa'cea, so I have a mixed colour as my primary, and every warrior has to be EXACTLY THE SAME COLOUR or else people at my FLGS will nerd rage -________-

I just didn't like painting them. Not sure why, besides the tendency of the feet to snap off while i was working on detail. (i would shift my grip to holding a leg while i painted some other part, not paying attention, and suddenly have a mecha-hoof fall into my water pot.. )

The orks are worse, for me. I have 17000+ points of orks, and baout 1000 pts are painted, if that. I HATE painting orks.

They are, IMO, the easiest army out there to play, and the hardest to paint well. Tons of fiddly little straps, teeth, buckles etc .. They look awesome when done, but it take sme ages to pain a squad to a decent standard.

Buckles and gak kill me, believe me, I feel your pain à la kroot. My KM army took my AGES to paint (I usually take about a day to finish a FW)
