Great stuff, and good to see the model creator appearing on here as well!

Lovely looking artwork and very evocative. I can see the potential for a new army coming out of this

I completely agree with Chibi.
Good luck to you and everyone involved with Fireforge Games. This is looking to be an excellent range of models.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final product - I don't think I'm the only one who as a kid had an affinity for teutonic/arthurian knights (I still fondly remember the epic colouring book I had & numerous castle trips), and it's great to see them in 28mm plastic. The artwork is fantastic and it's great to see another company entering the fold - I wish all at Fireforge the best of luck over the next few months. Bring on the Knights on foot!

Added to the love of Arthurian tales you mention probably explains why I am so fascinated by the Fireforge release

These are looking great! Combined with some Perry miniatures foot infantry (for archers, halbadiers and the like) and some armoured foot knights (representing Great Swords) and I think that could be a very cheap and effective historical-version style Empire army!

Hmm crusader/early knights though fit in with brets more. Although Perry is already making late medieval knights anyways

same as everyone else, cost and quantity will be the most important for me... though I have no plans of making these guys into brets but just having them if they are of good quality (still a sucker for AOE II stuff and crusades related models). Regarding the helmets, I believe it was the "Ritterbrüder " that wore the big fancy ones when they were able to afford such embellishments to their armor.

I posted 21 photos on Facebook in the album "Teutonic Knights WIP" of some 3UP Resin Copies.

They look extremely good Fabio. I can't wait to see how they'll mix with my old bretonnian metals.

Yes, I agree in theme, but rules-wise Brets have no heavy infantry option (to let you use men-at-arms models). Also, you can use crossbows/aquibusiers as handgunners in an Empire army directly.

If by "good" you mean "refusing to advance his style past what was acceptable before some of the posters on Dakka was born", then I guess I can understand it.

His Starship Troopers stuff outside of the bugs was atrocious.

Well, I think the mantic revenants that he sculpted are ace, and these knights look pretty dang modern as far as sculpting goes to me. But then, we all have differing opinions.

Some of the Starship troopers stuff was really good, such as the exo suits (with the exception of the 'Skinnies' perhaps, but then I thought the entire concept for them needed to go back to the drawing board).

It's very nice to see another new company doing plastic historicals.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

A bit late but found this post from the 19th on their face book

About their size what we are trying to achieve is an halfway scale between classic historical Perry size and "heroic" GW. In this way, we are trying to make them reasonably compatible with both. We cannot say, for sure, that we were able to do that until the moulds are complete but from our calculations on the 3up master sculptures, it should be the case. They are not going to havethe "exagerated/heroic" features of GW ones since they must be compatible with historical too but they should fit very well.
Think about the old GW Bretonnian knights, they were some of the miniatures we took as reference in pre-sculpting meetings.

I like these. I have no particular use for them insofar as a Brettonian or Germanic army, but if they're priced right, I'll buy them just to paint up.

Looks great!

I like the fact that there are lots of extra parts in the boxset, allowing more customisation.
