Dude. Screw the insides of a Landraider. I put most of it together before I decided I wanted to paint the inside. I ended up basecoating it and left it at that. It still looks horrible.

Also, whenever you are highlighting and you slip, so you have to wait for the paint to dry, go back to the basecoat and touch it up, and re-highlight, only to mess up again... >.<

And whenever I come back from university for a holiday and start painting only to find my paint gooped up on me while I was gone and I just ruined the assault cannons on my Landraider with goopy thick paint.

For me it has to be regular rank and file CSM, and Beastmen in general but Gors in particular! Do you have any idea how long it takes to paint 200 Gors?

I absolutely hate painting the "caged" lamps that are on virtually every IG and SM model.

Drop pods come is close second, just so much total area to cover and you basically end up doing the absolute same thing 5 times over.

Honestly for me, anything Metal. I hate painting metal as it chips way to easy. So glad they are getting away from it.

The family barn. Fracking wasps.

But as far as miniatures go, anything in samurai armor. So...many...tiny...details. Which is sad, because I got into the hobby to paint a large collection of Clan War figures I acquired.

I don't paint terminators anymore becuase of how mad I got fom this incident, and I threw these models away I was so mad, and the glue ate up most of the models torso peices from where I stuck and restuck the arms so many times I even cried tears of rage I was so mad! So I think I would rather chop off my junk throw some lye on the wound, then procede to then spoon out my eyeballs, then I would pour gasoline on myself set then myself on fire and leap from a building before I paint those models again, ever!

I feel you, though. Gluing that goes poorly makes me swear more than anything else in the hobby. (Except the prices, maybe.)

I hate tanks with a burning passion. Which is why I play BA (5 tanks at 2k) and Infantry Guard (4 tanks at 1.5k). I like painting infantry though. I am eyeing a GK army because of that...

Anything with Boltgun metal on it... I hate Boltgun metal. It is by far the worse paint ever.

What!? I love boltgun metal, goes on really well and last forever.

Ontopic: Gretchin. I have loads of the old 2nd ed ones. Oh boy are they tedious to paint, just cannot glean any inspiration for them at all. The newer ones are slightly more enjoyable.

Dont enjoy any sort of human skin either.
That sounds a bit weird actually.....

I agree with this, those things are such a pain. I don't get much enjoyment out of painting vehicles in general, though I'm hoping when I get round to painting my Ork vehicles thy'll be a bit more fun.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Top tip paint the Caged Lamp White. Let it dry, then use the Vallejo Flourescent Yellow and paint over it, 3 light coats for a nice effect. Then gently paint the cage on with a Charcoal Grey. The effect is really good.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Definitely my Tamiya 1/35 Challenger that I'm just finishing off for my IG army.

Assembled the whole thing before painting rather than applying the undercoats before attaching the bloody tracks.

Pain in the arse.

How much did that set you back? I've been weighing up getting one of those once I'm done with my Tamiya HMS Prince of Wales and King George V kits, though I'll probably put it off till I've got an airbrush.

If I remember correctly it was somewhere in the region of £30 from my local branch of Antics.

I tried to find the Tamiya stuff I'm interested in on Ebay cheaper, but the bidding just seems to go mad at the end and I don't have the time to keep track of it all.

The idea is to use it as a Baneblade.

Following that with the Trumpeter 1/35 05528 Rheinmetall Neubaufahrzeug: how can anyone resist the lure of a tank with three turrets?

Like, her. Painted a tux on her body as a costume for a costume party. She was wearing a very small, thin g-string to cover her naughty southern bits, but otherwise nude. I painted her friend, too, but she had a "dress" painted on. They went as a couple. Like, for the costume, not as an actual couple...

Her friend doesn't count as a "worst thing painted" because she was cool as hell.
