Hello folks, a couple of updates for you!

We have a published schedule for you to look at, here. It has both tournaments lined up so you can see how the schedules compare. 40k starts a little earlier this year to fit the four rounds in and still get done by 7:15, but they get to start a half hour later on Sunday to make up for it.

Also, we're pleased to announce the first ever Bugeater GT Golden Gobbo Painting Competition. This is our version of the Golden Demon. You can enter a model(s) in a variety of categories (e.g. single model, large model, squad, diorama) to try and be the best model for that category. If you are, your entry is eligible for the Overall Golden Gobbo! GT Players are given one complimentary entry into the competition, which is now completely separate from the GT for scoring purposes (don't worry, there is still a best painted army award that does factor into scoring), and these models will be on display the whole time and will NOT be used in games. If you want to enter more than one model/s in the competition, you will have to pay an additional charge.

We have also upped the amount of prizes this year - we will be giving out $75 gift cards to the Tournament and Sweepstakes Runners Up in both divisions, and with the prizes we'll be giving out in the Golden Gobbo we're giving away $1,000 in gift cards alone! Plus we will have our awesome raffles again, and we have even have brand new copies of Dreadfleet and Space Hulk to give away!


And for the 40k players with their sights set on the NOVA Invitational, the Bugeater GT is once again a qualifying event - both our Tournament and Sweepstakes Champions will be invited to play this fall!

Another update for this month!

Chessex and Fantasy Flight Games will again be sponsoring the Bugeater as they did last year! If you attended last year, don't worry, the dice will be different this year!

Compared to this point last year, we have quadrupled our registration numbers. So if you're on the fence, register sooner rather than later, because the majority of the registrants this year did NOT attend last year, which indicates some real strong growth. And we can only expand the number of tables and terrain so much, so don't assume we can expand the field for you.

We will have some primer packets out for both divisions in the next few weeks so people can start playtesting and practicing. We're only a few months away!

The website doesn't seem to be available for registration. I was going to take care of that today but the website seems to be having issues. Just figured I'd give you a heads up. Granted it could be operator error

Hey everyone - the fantasy composition pack is now available. You can check it out here.

Just as a heads up for anyone wondering and/or concerned: our cut off for new rules is April 1st. If any army books or codices come out between now and April 1st, we will use that book in the GT. Anything that comes out after the 1st will *NOT* be used. That way, players have at least a 2 month window to play with / against any changed army.

Can't wait for it. Hoping to bring about 10-12 guys from Arkansas.

It looks like we have quite the Arkansas crowd coming up, I'm really excited since we didn't have a group come up last year!

To anyone on the fence, I'd encourage you to sign up sooner rather than later. We only have 22 40k spots left and only 18 spots left in fantasy. While that sounds like plenty of spots *now*, compared to this time last year we have double our registrations and over half of the people signed up this year didn't play last year. So I DO fully anticipate us selling out before the event and there being a waitlist.

Hey everyone - listen for an interview about the Bugeater GT in Episode 107 of the 11th Company that comes out this Monday.

Registrations continue to pour in. We have people from six states so far that have paid for tickets (Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Arkansas) and people from other states who plan on coming (such as Minnesota). As a reminder, our two champions will be awarded spots at the NOVA Invitational this August!

I highly recommend this event from last year. The minor issues I had with it have been addressed by Tim and I'm psyched for it!

Now that we are completely sold out, I'd encourage people who are thinking about attending to get on the wait list. We've already had two people who reserved spots give them up to people that are on the list (the wait list already has 10 guys in each division), so there WILL be multiple people that get into the tournament off the wait list.

Also - we have official confirmation that the Black Library will be providing prize support again this year with more autographed books! And maybe something more

I want to thank everyone for supporting this event - after all it is a fundraiser for the debate program. We had to cancel our debate tournament due to weather this year, which cost us thousands in potential revenue from entry fees. If it weren't for last year's Bugeater, we would have been in big trouble. This year's Bugeater will help get our team to Nationals in June. So again, a big thanks to you all.

Now that we've sold out, we're going to begin marketing our Friday night events, our Golden Gobbo painting competition, and the ability to purchase Spectator's Passes (you get a swag bag, are eligible for raffled prizes). Keep your eyes here for that, and for the fantasy primer pack (with sample missions) that we'll release in about a month's time!

So true bdix! And it looks like we are in luck! Brewburger's was featured on the Food networks Diners Drive-ins and Dives and it looks to be close to the school where the tournament is!

Brewburgers is solid - I've only been to the 108th and L location. They came out to our table and made fresh guacamole with a giant mortar and pestle. As we get closer I'll post a list of sweet places to go to.

If you have any love of philly cheesesteaks at all, you need to go to Pepperjax. There are several in Omaha (it's an Omaha only chain), and one within like 8 minutes of Millard West. After having gone to Philly and been to big ones like Gino's, I can assuredly say that Pepperjax is better than the spots in Philly even.
