I just started a Haqqislam force for Infinity, and I'm still collecting Crews for all the Malifaux factions. Apart from that, the Prussians hold my interest in Dystopian Wars (still need to get my ground troops), and I need to try out my Directorate fleet before I add anything more to it. All my other armies are pretty much complete.

I ordered some Infinity Aleph from Maelstrom Games that are in transit now, and I'm just beginning work on a Crusade era Ultramarines force with the FW kits.

After finishing up my Deathwing I'll prolly go with 1k or so of Elysian or Death Korp. Guard.

Want to play BFG and Aeronautica Imperialis.

Just got into Warhammer 40k a year ago, splitting an Assault on Black Reach set with my friend and my Orks have been growing ever since. I'm doing well on that, but there are still a few special units I want and I need more Boyz. I have a feeling I'll probably always say I'll need more Boyz with this army.

I had wanted to start with Necrons but my other friend who got me into 40k and who's been playing 40k for 10 years waved me off saying that I should wait until the new codex came out to play them. (Plus AoBR made more financial sense at the time.) So they are next on the list once the new codex comes out.

My wife doesn't play Warhammer at all, but she was interested in painting with me and liked the looks of the Daemons so she is currently painting some units for Daemons so I'm now branching out in that direction as well.

I'd like to add some Chaos Space Marines and perhaps Imperial Guard eventually. I'm holding out on another swarm army until my Orks are mostly done. (Which may be never. I still need more Boyz!!)

I am thankful I'm more disciplined in my finances than my long-time-Warhammer-40k buddy. I'm only adding new units as I'm ready to paint them. He has been churning out two or three boxes of painted units per month at least, hasn't bought any new models for about two years that I'm aware of, and probably still has another year or two of painting before he finishes painting all the models that he got years ago. I am a bit more in control than that though I'm not gonna lie. Some days it's hard to fight the urge to just go out and buy a couple Battleforce boxes, call in sick for a week and go nuts on this hobby.

WHFB- Nippon army using the empire army book, though I am kind of waiting for ANYONE to realease some 28mm plaistic ashigaru.

Still, off and on, working on my ww2 Russian and German armies for various rules systems, 28mm so not FoW

and I have a bunch of French hundre years war figs that i will most likely base for 28mm FoG

Right now I am really just waiting for GW to revisit my 2 neglected armies:

40k: Sisters
WFB: Wood Elves

I expect major releases for them will cause much new purchasing to occur, considering both armies suffer from overpriced model syndrome (all metal sisters, all metal EG and Wardancers, icky treekin). Both armies, though, need new books to be of much interest.

So, I consider both of these to be on the "do next" list because so much will need to be done (bought, built, painted) when they come out.

In the mean time, I have so much Ork, Orc and Goblin, and Lizardmen stuff to work on that I will be fully busy even if my SoB and WE take years to be updated...

I'm also pondering a ghouls and bats list for VC, just for giggles. Haven't fully committed to that one, though. Will probably do just enough to attach to my O&G during Storm of Magic games.

WM: expand my mercenaries with Shae, Magnus, and Diamano as well as the models that support them like renegades, pirates, steelhead cav, etc.

After my IG are finished:

Adding some of the new stuff to my OK army
Painting some of the bunches of Night Goblins I have for that Army.
Still have all my AOBR orks too though I'm debating selling them.

All with a unique theme, with hopefully NO STOCK MODELS (you heard me )

The more I think about it and about the games people are currently playing at my FLGS, I will probably complete my malifaux warband (Sonnia Cred) and then maybe branch out into WM/H or maybe Dust.

Then after everythign I have is based and completed, i'll get a proper nice Chaos Army, probably Khorne based, with plenty of Beserkers. Tempted to get the Renegade Guard of FW to go with them, then kitbash them with every spare cadian, catachan and chaos bit I have to make them go further. Tbh, quite a way away. Of course, i'll drop everything if SoB ever get a proper release with a codex and new minis... Here's hoping.

I'm not starting anything until I finish painting my currently primed Black Templars (~9000 out of 12,000 is painted) and my Primed Orks (~600 out of 2000 is painted, not counting my Stompa).

I'll finish my Iron Fists biker/Vindicator army (at least assembly, hopefully painting)

Then do Tau when they next come out!

I've been considering an Inq based Army; Coteaz, 3 Psyflemen, 3 StormRavens, 3 deathcult Assassin (10 ea) as the core list.

Hey, remember that time when I said that I wasn't going to collect any armies for a while? Like, a day or two ago?

Scratch that.

That Maelstrom voucher saw me looking idly through some games I'd long ago taken off my list of interest, including Infinity. Which, it turns out, had some pretty poor early models (including particularly creepy female figures, all of the impractically dressed and/or bizarrely posed variety), but these days has vastly improved. And then I found out that the rules are available for free. And seem pretty nicely put together. And that the official site also has a fully featured army builder.

Ended up picking up enough models to make up a (very starved-for-orders, 6 model) 300 point Yu Jing army, focussing on models I liked, rather than what would necessarily be of use. Once they're done, I'll look into buying some other models to make some viable lists with.

Ah well.

I need to finish my GK and SoB, but at some point down the line, deamons.

I'm currently fleshing out my main army of Orks, but I've been thinking about a small 1500-1850 sized Tau army next. I figure they will have a very different play style.

One of the three armies I've got waiting for me on the shelf. Probably in the order below. I've attached stock/representative pics(not my figs) to each as some of these are kind of obscure. These armies would see use in a number of different games that my club plays including Wastelands, 5150 Star Army, WarEngine and maybe Tomorrow's War.

1) Void "Junkers". I've already got a Skirmish size force finished (20 Models) but it's time to bulk it out to around 50!


2) Metal Magic Spacelords "Sardaykin". Took me a decade to find these guys and I'm determined to paint them up. I've got 40 of these vintage ( early 90's) power armored troopers and 3 AT43 Red Block Kolossus to convert into dreadnaught-like walkers.


3) IG platoon made almost entirely of DemonBlade Games' Shockforce "Megacom troopers". These are Cadian'ish figs from the 90's. Mine are mostly orginal, but they are being rereleased bit by bit from Megaminis, so I'll probably hold off on this army until I fill a few holes in my collection. Mostly I'm missing HW teams.

After my High Elves I plan on doing a Lustrian themed Clan Pestilens Skaven army and then expand my Lizardmen army to have a few units themed around Chupayotl: the Sunken City.

I've never played 40K but if I did I'd convert a Tau army into Sligs from the Oddworld videogames. Ethereals could be Glukkons, crisis suits could be Big Bro Sligs, Kroot would be slave Mudokans, Kroot Hounds would be Paramites/slogs. I love those games and would love to see a miniature game based on them.

Painting on Dark Eldar 1850 list: 85% completed (8 warriors, 2 raiders, and 1 ravager left)
Painting on Blood Angels 1850 list: 90% completed (storm raven and 1 speeder left)
Painting on Daemons 1850 list: 25% completed (3 DP's req finishing, 5 horrors need finished, Bloodthirster, Fateweaver, and 10 fiends need primed...)

Afterward... I'm thinking of Orks next; I don't have a horde army and making nids viable (if there is such a thing) is EXPENSIVE (I'm sorry, $20 per hive guard is stupid).
