If you insist.
Don't forget Hitler won an Iron cross as a corporal in WW1. No, he wasn;t some great warrior but he had "been in the sh**" as it were.
If you judge a commander only by that he failed in the end then you have to say Macarthur was a terrble commander.
If Lexicanum is to be trusted, it says what drew Khornes eye was "wanton carnage" of his mighty armies laying waste to nations. He was guilty of not just murder, but 'genocide' on a grand scale.
I think Hitler is not an unreasonable possibility. he started out a murderous leader who led massive armies that ravaged nations. A lot of hubris and some insanity probably go along way in catching the eye of Khorne.
All that said, is real life history supposed to be the history of earth ion the 40kverse?
I guess I actually drew it back towards the topic... sorry.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.
Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

I believe thats what everyone means.
DOOMBREED = Genghis Khan or anyone else that enjoyed stuffing their enemies as trophies. (Yes he did do that.)
DOOMBREED is awesome. Though there is not much fluff on him which makes me sad. :(

Everyone knows Doombread makes his own Doomtoast.
Also, Doombread was Leonidas.

Leonidas before his battle at thermoplaye listened to classical music and was not a bloody warrior, he believed that if he was to get angry that was a sign of weakness, So khorne would not like him. Leonidas was a good warrior but he didn't not fight with fury like how the movie 300 shows him as. (Don't believe me read the wiki.)

Strangely, he was recommended for that Iron Cross by a Jew.

I think that our history is the 40k history, but it's so far back it doesn't really matter.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it. |

He did cause a lot of damage, but he never permanently destroyed any nation (except Germany )

I know. I love what little fluff he has and wish that we could at LEAST get an official picture of him that wasn't a picture of Ghost Rider someone posted on 1d4chan.

Hitler was a good soldier. But you will notice that he wasn't in any sort of position that would have required much tactical ability. He was just a grunt if you are talking about the big picture.
The main thing which brought about the downfall of Hitler was the fact that, just before the battle of Stalingrad, he assumed personal command of the armed forces. Prior to that he had left most of the actual tactical decisions to his generals. It was when he started muddling in the details that things went south fast.
It was also about that time that his doctor also started giving Hitler Meth to treat his medical conditions. He was given increasing doses of Meth for the rest of the war and this is considered to be a contributing factor to his declining mental health.
