His whole schtick is that he's hard to kill. He used to have a 3+ invulnerable save before that was trendy. Give him 3+/3++ and Eternal Warrior, but I have no idea what he could do for the army beyond that.

I choose Commander Boreale of the Blood Ravens. His Steel Rehn ability would be as follows:
Steel Rain - If every unit that can take a drop pod takes a drop pod, they all come in at once. Turn 1 on 3+, Turn 2 on 2+, Turn 3 automatic. All drop pods need to be within 12" of another drop pod.

Special rule: "We haef fehled da Emprah"
When Boreale dies, all friendly models within 3d6" take a leadership test at -d6. If they fehl, they get back in their drop pods and go home. Boreale is 250 points and has preferred enemy against Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle, just because Soulstorm sucked.

There's some half-baked rules for you based on a half-baked character who I love.

1. Davian Thule (pre-dreadnought)
2. Isador Akios (pre-corruption)
3.Captan Bannon of the Deathwatch

Are pre-heresy characters out of the question? If not then Garviel Loken and Captain Garro.

Space Marines, Orks, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Tau, Necrons, Germans (LW), Protectorate of Menoth

So are many Special Characters.

I want an Iron hands MoTF. Only HQ choice who doesn't have a special character, and the only chapter with no Special Character.

So is Eldrad but that doesn't stop him from being in every Eldar army.

Some iron hands dude that lets you take dreadnaughts as troops. You know you want 12 dreadnaughts in one army.

Master of the Forge is pretty much the only concession that Iron Hands get in the current codex :( I don't think dreads as troops would be the best thing though. They need Terminators as sergeants again, probably at +20 points a squad.

Iron Hands only have like 5 Dreadnoughts in the entire chapter and one of them is on the council.

I think the deathwatch captain to make Vets troops, and basically make a GK equivalent shooty army.

Yeah, bring back Cortez! I'd love to be able to use my model has something more than a captain with a powerfist and a bolt pistol... which I admittedly never use.

To be honest tho, what I'd really want is Codex: CF... preferably written by someone who has no understanding of game balance so I can be the flavor of the month too!

He'd probably make them Stubborn.

The personal, greedy side of me says Vel'Cona or Tu'Shan. The impartial, legitimate side of me says an Iron Hands character. Since they are the ONLY one of the original loyalist chapters not to have either a special character or their own Codex. It DOES seem a bit unfair to them.

Angelos could come with a MC Thunder Hammer. That should work as God-Splitter.
Diomedes...he could the person to make Veterans troops.

Also, as a side note, is there anyone that makes Vanguard troops?

HA! I wish I could take MC Hammer as a troops choice.

Actual conversation from my stats class-
Student: Why is the denominator on that equation n-1?
Prof: n is very good, but n-1 is also very good.
