Apathy, really. I don't envy his life, I hold greed and pride as big sins. His music doesn't appeal to me, so I don't go watch and rant on Youtube. Every time you do that, he gets a dollar-fifty.

...and so pop is his natural enemy. Even though metal is a type of pop music.
I think what drives most people mad about Beiber is the fanbase of his. Ok to me he looks and sings like a girl and I couldn't stand his music. But the girls chasing after him, ugh.

I've never seen this mythical fanbase of his. Even on youtube they're pretty subdued and-- unlike the whiny frakheads who hate the guy-- focus most of their comments on actual Bieber videos.

I don't know anything about his character or fanbase, but as far as his music goes...I don't really care. It's not like his music exisiting, be it bad or good, somehow makes the music I like sound any worse.
What I do hate is the incessant Bieber hate that seems to crop up everywhere. I find it incredibly silly that grown men need to to tell other grown men that music tailored and marketed to tween to teen girls is not for them. Oh what a suprise... The same thing can be said about Twilight hatred.

Just listened the Justin Bieber Baby-Metal version and it blew my mind, in a bad way. Like already said, his singing is not that bad and his a freaking millionare! Im not a fan of he music but I gotta give him credit for his success. Besides, people will forget him once he finally hits puberty

Meh.. I listen to ALL kinds of music. Though for the record.... I have been closely linked to Punk more than Metal.. and the natural enemy of Punk is Disco.
It's not bitter to comment on how one perceives the pop product called "Bieber".

It will only be a matter of time before he ends up a drug addled wreck, cursing his management for lining their pockets whilst fleecing him at the same time. He will be a nobody within 5 years, just another faceless pop star whose light has faded. Yeah, they come and go, and always the hate will follow. It's this hate that will eventually drive him over the edge.
Either that or he will 'Come Out' and his life will be complete....
I always find it amusing the pop, or really mainstream music in general, is somehow produced; while independent music is not. Do independent musicians simply pluck away at random, and occasionally get lucky to produce something worth listening to? And, if so, wouldn't that be less skillful?
More reasonably, why is the number of people that are involved in producing an image relevant to whether or not its good, or authentic?

The kid has a modicum of ability and doubtless works hard, but it is all a hollow poppet.
The kid was making his own recordings and videos of his own songs for a good while PRIOR to any industry help and built up his own youtube following/fanbase. I have a feeling if he never made it big he would be stilldoing it on youtube himsef and haveing a blast.
He has talent, drive, and loves music. Now that he has blown up why shouldn't he enjoy it and go along foe the ride? Good for him.

I mean, this is kind of why I wish the kid all the best. I'm not a fan, but I know first-hand how difficult it is to try and break into the industry, so good luck to him. This idea that people are just handed record deals and turned into stars willy-nilly is fething nonsense. It requires a LOT of hard work to even get your music HEARD by anyone at even a tiny record company.
Long story short: People shouldn't pretend to comment with authority on that which they have absolutely zero knowledge of. Even the most seemingly vacuous and talentless pop-star has to put in a gakload of hard work to make a career.
