Goh gak, forgot about Queen

Let's just say I can't stand Bieber's voice because I'm musically wetwawded.

Meh, the Olsen Twins are so rakishly thin that they have a serious lack of curves. There bodies have more in common with a prepubescent boy than an actual girl's imo.

Isnt there something inherently wrong in looking for curves on Olsen twins during the time they were active in the media.

I just find women look more attractive when they have some curvature.

Unlike the Olsen twins (during their media spotlight time) the lady above is not underage.

Weren't they still in the media spotlight even when they were of age of consent, due to drug addictions. The media just loves hearing about drug addicted stars for some reason.

Do you know what 'an auto-tune' is? Explain what it is without using google and provide an example of a program used to correct pitching issues in recorded music, and we can talk. I'm simply not interested in discussing this issue with people who are just parroting the same old tired half-understood talking points. No offense meant, bro.

Also, you are absolutely correct - my record collection is definitely the poorer for not featuring the outstanding work of Josh Groban.

No such microphone exists. It's a program similar to a vocoder, but it's use in the live performance setting is nowhere near as widespread as is assumed. It's too audible, for one thing. It's actually far more common in recorded music than most assume, due to the amount of digital sounds used these days. They're all perfectly in tune. A human voice never is, even if the performer has perfect pitch. You do the math.

The difference is in the word, friends..... "Produced" is not "Product" though the two are related....
For an interesting illustration of these concepts I present this video from Canadian band 'Killer Dwarfs'.
Spoiler:

Simple explaination is: they sign a recording contract and become "product", that is they are made to look and perform the way the record company wants them to be.

Any popular music that has been monetised is a 'product', at least in the way you mean it.

No, not "monetised"
More like packaged, formulated, and mass produced... Kind of like the the burgers at a fast food franchise; Every one is exactly like every other one from that marquee, no matter where you buy them.
They seem tasteless when compared to a burger from a single store restaurant.
They are still both "Burgers" but one has more flavor and appeal.
Consider: Nirvanna is considered great because they had a unique raw style that was then copied and watered down by other bands trying to be like them, either of their own accord or by record company "recommendations".
Or like half the "hair metal" bands from the 80s, some got it right but most were just signed to be like (that) band. They were packaged to have (that) look, their songs were written to have (that) sound, they even had a formula for how an album was supposed to be laid out because (that) band had success with it.

Bieber is just this decades Donny Osmond, who was a previous generations version of Frank Sinatra. Go ahead and compare the early careers of those two to Biebs.... Same kind of sappy "love songs", same kind of marketing to the "young Ladies" (though they are marketed to a younger audience each succession), even similar uses of fashion and hair style to appeal to said market.

I'm not saying it is a bad thing, just Bieber comes off as even more "processed" than his predessors.... even the "boy bands" from the 80s and 90s.

You guys have to realize that its no jealousy thats driving the hate as many people liked Michael Jackson from the time he was a KID in in the Jackson 5 up until his death and he was rich as well from the start

Justin Bieber is just crap and has rather conservative ideals for a kid of his age raised in a highly liberal environment

That would the same Nirvana who were plucked from the Seattle indie scene and signed to a major label, made to record a heavily-produced pop-rock album and placed on heavy rotation by MTV, yes? Would that also be the same Nirvana that bore more than a passing similarity to other Seattle indie bands such as Tad, Mudhoney, Soundgarden and the Melvins, before Geffen bought them and the tiny indie label they were signed to?

Hmm. As romantic as the overnight success narrative is, there was a definite commercial strategy behind Nirvana's ascent to the pop firmament. There's also plenty of evidence that Cobain was all for it. He wasn't as much of a reluctant star as is made out, certainly not at the outset. But that's OK - as consumers of pop, we're supposed to believe in phoney 'authenticity'. Every act that signs to any label is 'packaged, formulated and mass-produced' to some degree.
