I sorta follow Supernatural. Best friend and his girl watch it all the time. I just see it when it's the focus of the evening.

Other then that. I'm watching Metalocalypse and the new Beavis and Butthead.

I don't keep up with it much, but I was obsessed with the show back in the day. I feel like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for myths nowadays.

Although I'll admit, I was impressed with the Duct Tape Plane episode - it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it's the only time in Mythbusters history where the guys tested five separate myths, and all five were confirmed.

While I have watched shows, I don't think I've ever recommended a show to anyone else - in my circles we tend to watch the same things anyway.

There are shows that others have recommended to me that have failed to ignite my interest (Eureka, Lost, 24, etc). I don't tend to follow those friends' recommendations anymore.

Often I don't even bother to follow it on tv anymore - I just buy the dvd box set.

No need to use netflix (don't have it here anyway) for DS9 - I have the series on disc.
Same with Babylon 5, Farscape, etc.

Shows of recent years I've made unmissable and have bought or watched every one include Doctor Who, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, Buffy, Alias, LOST, Battlestar Galactica. I got into things like Spooks a bit late but watched them to their conclusion.

One day I will watch all of Stargate, I like it but my viewing is very patchy due to the hopeless way it was aired in the UK.

The Cable stuff is easy to follow as they run during different times of the year. Exception being Dexter and The Walking Dead so I watch episodes on demand. How I met your Mother makes me laugh. Chuck is fun for the computer nerd in me.

Cooking shows are entertaining because it's hilarious to watch people flip their gak about something like cooking.

One cooking show I think is good though is Ready Steady Cook, it's British, but it doesn't focus on anything competetive, it's a friendly match and the winner gets to donate to their favourite charity. That show's -actually- about the food.
