Guys, there might be a possible date change to 3rd March as there are several tournaments on the same day in the area. How do people feel about this?

Obviously you have to do what's best for the competition overall but rather the 25th as I've booked it off work, and so has a friend of mine who's keen to attend. While I can probably change that to March 3rd, ideally I'd like to know asap (ie before mid-December). I'd begin to tear out what little hair I have left if I booked the 3rd and that was changed.

I'm happy enough with the shift back to 2000pts (but I think it'd be best for that to be 'finally final' with no further change).

Sorry to mess you about mate. The points and date are stopping as they are. They will not change again. I only changed the points because my club voted for 2k games and changed the date as a lot of people said they would come, but couldn't as attending other tournaments that day.

No, sorry. The date is changing to 3rd March. I have been told this date is fine, but I am getting it confirmed. Reason for the change is because other tournaments are on the same day, and at the moment I have the time to change it.

Points will be stopping at 2,000 points now my gaming club has made up their mind..

How far is the tournament location from the Train station?

Probably about 15 minutes walk I would say. You know the big island where the car garage is, if you're walking from the train station you would need to turn left there so you're going to Penkridge. If I have time, and car free, I could pick you up from the train station

I've just sent you payment for me (Dave Hunter) and a friend of mine (Will Duncan - whose surname I stupidly got wrong in the payment note). There's a fairly slim possibility another friend of mine might attend but I won't know 'til later next week. If there's a spare place and he can attend, I'll let you know (or just get him to pay you direct).

Dave, got the money for the two tickets - many thanks. You are the first two to pay for your tickets, though the people who are on the list have confirmed and made payment arrangements with me. On the FB event there are other people who have confirmed. I would say about 12 so far includin you and your mate, so plenty of room for another one.

It will come sooner than you think, soon be end of the year and tickets need to be paid for 2 weeks before the tournament, so mid feb, that's about 2 months away all in all. But booking in new year is fine mate.

Pod will do fine. And you will John. However, that is based upon PJ's tournament and the people there. Comnig to this one is several folks from October Wargames club and Dakka Dakka - some of these I have never met before.

This looks really good, and is definitely within driving distance. Just a couple of questions on the "no proxies", "no counts-as" thing --

1) Are conversions OK, so long as it's abundantly clear what they are? If I bring my Dark Angels, some of my Terminator Cyclone Missile Launchers are scratchbuilt, or converted from Typhoon Missile Launchers -- is that acceptable? They're all very clearly CMLs (terminators don't have any other kind of missile-like thing on their shoulders). Some of their Storm Shields are converted from WH Fantasy shields. Likewise if I bring my Grey Knights, my Crusaders and Death Cult Assassins are all converted fantasy figures (very old GW ones), given 40K power swords and so forth -- again it's very obvious what they are (if it has two weapons, it's a DCA, if it has a sword and shield, it's a Crusader). Most of my Razorbacks have scratchbuilt turrets (but official GW weapons attached). One of my three Daemonhosts is a conversion, because they only make two models... etc.

2) What about non-GW bits? If I bring my Grey Knights, most of my henchmen have been converted to have non-GW heads, but again, they all have the right weapons... and they're all originally GW/Citadel figures (even if some of them are 25+ years old).

(I'm itching to come along 'cos I don't usually get to play at 2K points, but might end up very restricted as to what I can bring!)

1. Conversions are fine as long as clear what they are. If in doubt send me pictures .

2. None G.W bits are fine.
