Im going to have what class im playing and everything picked out before.. and farther i can get in beta storyline the better.

I have 8 days off in a row from holidays on release.

I plan on getting high level as i can in these 8 days if possible on my main character.

Wife is due in Jan, so i need to have my main max level so i can do endgame with friends when i have time to play instead of leveling.

Ill go back and play the storylines later on as i get time.

You know beta characters get deleted right? This isn't the head start. If you are just rushing through to see storyline that is fine, but it sounds like you are trying to make your 'main'.

I know beta characters arent kept :p

This is probly my 3rd mmo beta

If i can play the class im doing as a main, i can go through it in beta as i look for bugs and glitches.

Then on Live, i can power through what ive already done and not feel like ive missed much.

Of course.. main goal is to find bugs and such

Anyone having problems downloading this? I have yet to try it out, as its been downloading since probably noon today. I swear it seems like when its done downloading, it just redown loads it or something. Still waiting...............

I got the same mass invite. Don't know if I am going to bother with it, or not.

Well Im going to let it continue for another hour or so and if it starts downloading again, Im going to say feth it and just ignore it. Because this is just stupid

A friend of mine that signed up for the beta on a whim and has no intention of getting the game got into the beta and I am still waiting out here in the cold. So alone...so aloooooooone.

Check and see if it is downloading different files. For example "English Assets 1" versus "English Assets 2" as these are main files + patches. Also... this is a 30+ gb game, it's going to take awhile to download.

Oh well maybe thats it then. But uh....if Im allowed only 3 days (half of 1 day wasted to downloading) why the hell would they shoot out the ENTIRE game? Thats annoying right off the bat. Do a WoW thing, and give me a stream lined version, I dont need the whole fething game at once!

So I just got the email that I got invited to a weekend test of the beta.

Did you guys get a code or anything to redeem in the mail, or how do you start the DL or whatever?

I am at work so I haven't tooled around the account/site, but figured if my buddies here already figured it out, I should mooch your knowledge!

I just recieved that email as well. It doesn't say where to get the beta code or where to download the beta client. I went to the actual website and logged in and there were no messages so i don't really know what to do either at this point.

It had a "More info to come" vibe.

I am wondering if maybe we will get info soon and aren't necessarily in THIS weekend...

Go to your account on the page, go to beta testing, there should be a link to download the client.

It is entirely the intention. And on top of that, they are stress testing the servers tonight and have asked all beta participants to log on.

Yeah, I meant to be more specific that it was testing not just the game servers, but also the website for high volume. Hopefully this will make this one of the smoothest MMO launches in some time.

Seems I got the invite as well, going to go double check shortly, if so will leave it downloading overnight, worth a look, Beta might turn me around on it.

Oh my god, this download is fething brutal. So far, Im going to give them a bit of a negative review, at least on this part, because holy mother of GOD! I just want to choke someone in real life right now

I got an email saying I was in but when I log in to the website I get nothing to indicate such an event has occurred.

I wonder if this is another mistake like last time where it mass mailed out invites instead of just to the people supposed to be in the beta.

Apparently there are 2 emails going out. One is telling you that you are in the beta and what to do to get started and the other is essentially a teaser telling you that you will be in the beta. It isn't that clear about it though, so if you got an invite but your account doesn't show beta access, you got the later.

Ok the wife is playing it right now as a bounty hunter and I must say, Im impressed. We turned the graphics down a bit just to keep it running smoothly and the game still looks really good. The intros, are seriously top notch, those were "Impressive.....most impressive" So its still VERY early in the game but I have to say, I cant buy a new PC fast enough. Simply wow.

So cons: The few day demo is WAY to damn big. WoW did do something right with there limited trial thing, that only takes like 5 minutes tops to download. It took half a day to get this done. Sheesh.

Pros: This view is very limited so far, but there is alot of Pros so far. Im really digging the dialect options, and how pretty/massive this game is.

Alrighty, I played as the Imperial Agent for a bit. I can tell you, this game will be a great play for sure. Why? Because I have ZERO interest in being an Imperial agent, and for the 2ish hours I played, it was still rather enjoyable. And so far the missions seem to be making sense. And what I mean by that, in WoW, you get alot of "well go out and kill 50 boars and Ill tell you something" and that gets SO boring to me, because it doesnt make sense at all. As the agent, I was getting alot of things like "Well your end mission is *this* but the vital thing was stolen, so you need to get said thing back before we can proceed" And that makes missions more believable to me, NOW I understand why/what I have to do.

So took a break, and later will be trying something I actually WANT to play, and see how it goes. Big Thumbs up in my book. So much so, I might actually try and push to get a new PC at tax time this year. Uhg.....why StarWars....why?!

I've found that when I beta test things...I may/may not go slightly overboard during it and burn out any interest I might have.

I have got to say its fething fantastic!


Sure its a 20+GB download. But its all worth it when you realize you don't have to read a thing since its all voice acted!

Agreed, the download was pretty huge, and annoyed me greatly, but once I got to play it, I was very glad I stuck with it.

Nope, and I wont have time, tonight is my last night, and Im making dinner (stir fries for everyone!) and hanging with the wife, since she had a double shift today. So basically, rather then enjoying my last bit of time with this game, I just had to get a few hours in earlier, and be happy with that.



But I can say, Bounty Hunters fething OWN! Seriously, Im so inlove with the Bounty hunter class its not even funny. So awesome
