Oh my... being an art history fanatic this made me gasp and hyperventilate a bit! Glad I'm not the only one who has thought of putting a bit of religious iconography on 40k.

There actually is a small amount of blood on the spear, but I always assumed that a Nemesis weapon would seal the wound mostly, so it wouldn't be terribly gory if it were a straight puncture.

Very nice indeed!
Since you have an interrest, I think I recal Michael had wings like some exotic bird (not a peacock was it? red and gold perhaps) in early and medieval art, but obviously the divine white/silver is far from blasphemous.
Again, very nice model, and great theme.

We've already had this discussion on this forum. St Michael is also depicted as a dragon slayer. I promise. I have an icon if it hanging in my house. George is killing a dragon from horseback, which doesn't really work for a dreadnought.
