Big picture, when I first got it. Now it has a gold sparkle vinyl seat, gold vinyl tassles, gold sparkle vinyl tool kit bag above the headlight, no front fender, no horn cover, a crazy laid back sissy bar, a dished pacho tank, smaller spoked back tire, and more dirt.

These threads seem to crop up pretty regularly. Here's my reply from the last one:

Just after we moved house, we suffered a buglury and the car was nicked - later found burnt out by the police. Luckily, we had full insurance and gap insurance which meant we got the full value of the car back (ie. what we had paid for it). I loved the ST so I decided to 'upgrade' to a Focus RS with all the gizmos and 300 BHP

Unfortunately, it seems the same scrotes that broke into our house seemed to be back. I noticed strange marks on the doorframe that looked suspiciously like a crowbar mark, as well as leaving one morning and noticing the side gate had been left open (it only locks from the inside so someone had been round the back of the house). We traded in the RS and got a boring slow diesel.

Lately, the wife has decided to go back to work so she decided to use the diesel and we bought a car for me to use. I saw an advert for a limited edition of the ST that Ford produced before the Focus facelift was introduced so we got that - an ST 500:

That's a proper American car. Like steering a barge I imagine. I think these look fantastic, impractical and hugely inefficient in equal measure.

@Howard - correct on all accounts. It is however one of the most comfortable cars for a group of 4 people to road trip thousands of miles. Also for whatever reason, the 1970's era Lincolns have a better air conditioning unit than any other car, new or old.

It actually handles quite nicely, it is a luxury car, so power everything.

Drawbacks? It breaks down often being an old car. About 12 MPG with proper gas, 8 MPG with ethanol blended gas.
