No

Main rules page 45 last paragraph under Fall Back!; "If any model from a unit that is falling back moves into contact with a table edge, the entire unit is removed from the game and counts as destroyed..." {emphasis mine}

Sure -- but who gets the token? The units surrounding the transport, the units that destroyed the transport, or roll randomly between them?

The unit surrounding the transport; they are the direct cause of the unit's destruction.

Kommissar Kel wrote:The same goes for trapped!; the Dark eldar Player needs to position his unit(s) in such a way that the falling back unit cannot move it's full distace; which requires a ring at least 2.0001" around the falling back unit. It is not the easiest maneuver to pull off without impassable terrain choke-points.

And again, who gets that token? The unit that caused the morale check, the surrounding units acting as impassable terrain, or roll between?

The unit trapping the enemy unit; or if several units are causing the trap a random assignment.

In both these cases there is a clear DE unit that has caused the destruction of the unit.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

However surrounding the transport in of itself does not kill the embarked units, unless that transport is destroyed by other means. If you. Pile your wyches around a rhino, but do nothing else, well then nothing happens. Aside from maybe a tank shock check.... The rhino needs to be destroyed by something else, like a unit of trueborn. Therefore, the trueborn caused the wreck and explosion, thus forcing the embarked squad to disembark, they can't so are destroyed. The trueborn caused the situation, not the wyches so TB get the token.

As for the counts as destroyed..... In game terms there is no rules to handle scattered fleeing or otherwise ran off the table. To simplify, they count as destroyed - since they no longer participate in the game. However the unit forcing them into the morale check should not get a token. What would happen if while falling back they are forced to take dangerous terrain checks and fail? Killed by a friendly missed blast template? Do the dark eldar that forced the failed morale check still get a token? - no they don't. They have to wipe the unit out themselves, or cause an effect that does it form them, ie a vehicle explosion.
