Nice. I have arctic Necrons, but not Norse Necrons. Lol.
Plenty of yelling "Fus Ro Dah" will be happening during game play, I assume?

Wow I've been so busy. I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while, but there is good news! Cell gave me a gakload of Necrons for Christmas. Also, I recently entered the Beasts of War contest for a Necron Shopping Spree!
Here's what I entered:
It's a concept for Orikan the Diviner (in the Codex). He doesn't have a concept in the codex yet, and he's a badass astromancer, so I figured I'd give him a shot.

Made a colour swatch set for photoshop with all the Citadel paint colours on it. Of course I couldn't get the metallics or washes in there but it has the colours and foundations in there.

loving what i see so far, the concept sketch looks great, so does the color scheme, might i ask if this is inspired by skyrim at all? or is it just awsome (which it is) btw its nice to see the necrons like this, if this was how they normaly looked (and not like egyptians) then i would have went for them.. so i am subscribed (and welcome to dakka)

And yes, I feel the same way about Skyrim. Awesome game, but they got their popular culture in my Norse mythology!

Shhhh, you'll wake Garm.
There are a lot of parallels between Norse mythology and the Nord culture in the Elder Scrolls series. I can't be the only one who thinks the Talos shrine symbols look inspired by mjolnir pendants.
If you prefer a more direct correlation to the Norse in your gaming, I'd suggest Too Human (xbox 360). Its basically Norse Mythology gone cyberpunk/transhuman.
On a more serious note, I too also plan to incorporate some form of Norse culture into my army, whenever I have time to get back to work on it. Probably something simple like using Norse runic symbols for unit symbols, or vehicle names.
